A poem about rants often hidden within my life and my somewhat weird writings. |
-Brilliantly Stated Omissions of Hatred- by Keaton Foster These are mine No one else’s Just opinions Barely turnable facts I have plenty of others Opinions that is I am sure that I am wise Do I know more Than I should How and the hell Could I possibly know These are my Brilliantly stated Omissions of hatred Pointing my crooked finger At an angle Not quite perpendicular Screaming, God above And darkness below All that you’ve done Or failed to do Has burdened me And my very soul I don’t know who to blame So both of you will bear The brunt of my ways The turnstile of my shame Many have come into my life They spend time getting to know me And the intricacies of my disease Many more, far more than ideal Quickly leave once they know Of all that my heart grows Alone will and has always been My true home My prison of skin and bone Sentenced to life While waiting upon death Will I go to Heaven I spoke the words I told all the right lies Convincing I was Persistent I have become Will I go to Hell Such a place cannot be In any realm other than The one in which we all reside So to go there would only mean To remain here Will the Lord hold me close Or will he cast me further into doubt Will the Devil rip me apart Or will he leave me as one Such proponderous things Need not be answered They make little to no difference The end will be the same Regardless of the next game Such superlative questions Hold no obtainable weight They mean nothing to me And I’m the one asking Brilliantly stated Omissions of hatred Is all that I have for certain They are mine, just like these words So seemingly absurd I will be held accountable for each one Who will be judging me is unknown Who will be tallying up my sins Means nothing within my game I am and have always been playing to win At the price of everything Even if everything feels like nothing In time God or the Devil will hold me But for now I am holding onto myself In every way that seems possible… Brilliantly Stated Omissions of Hatred Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
