A closer look.

You see a girl who doesn't look like she care about what she wears
you think she's trashy because all her clothes have rips and tears

Take a closer look, in truth, she cant afford clothes, or very nice shoes,
because mother spent all her money on clothes for herself and booze.

She has a younger sister and brother, there three years old,
and because they don't have a house he's always cold.

So why do you look at her as if she's a curse?
Just because she doesn't carry a designer purse?

You see a man who's rolling down the street,
and you see he's missing one of his feet.

You might look away disgusted, or strike a superior pose,
You sit there and stick up your perky little nose.

Take a closer look, this man lost his foot in the army, serving me and you,
he gave all he had so our state would stay free pure and true.


Take a closer look at life and you will see,
life isn't as simple, as it seems to be.
