This poem sounded good in my head, sometimes I just write them out and see where they go.

Creation was the first step
Of course there are
And have been plenty of others
Destruction comes into mind
But such a thing as the end
Is indeed an evolution of time
And a foregone conclusion
For those of us living
Within this here and now
In between is where everything
Counts most of all
What we do and how we act
Are not predetermined facts
But an exercise in free will
God’ greatest unintended gift
Take it for what it is
A psychosomatic form of control
That in time will lead us
Down a dead end road
God’s wisdom dispensed
Choices placed in front of us
Dare not eat the tasty apple
Such a delicious thing is forbidden
Dare not let your eye wander
Beyond all that has been prepared
Take fate on the chin
Wrap your hands around
The throat of the world
Always be prepared to squeeze
Management of us has always
Been a secondary agenda
There is indeed no time
To save absolutely everyone
No plan to save everything
Heaven would run full
Overflowing with lost souls
Desperately committed in life
Guaranteed for certain in death
There is a reason there is a place
Abruptly referred to as hell
Long since creation we have been
Left to our own defenses
God’s own plate
It certainly quite full
Overflowing with excess
His gluttony knows no end
How could it ever
He is God
An all knowing
All powerful supreme being
Of unimaginable gravity
Unrequited love and understanding
A one sided being that many blame
For all of their own failed plans
Point your finger inward
Stop being and hypocrites hypocrite
Suck up life like a sponge
We can never truly know God
Until we are stone cold dead
Until we cannot be saved
From ourselves or our fate
Only then will we know for certain
Only then will all things be absolute
Is it so bad to live via
Such unrealistic speculation
Most definitely not
God’s plate might be full
Even overflowing
But ours, yours and mine
Are quite empty
And we are as usual
Quite hungry…
