This poem is about standing up against abuse.
THE BATTLE

With hands of stone and a voice like thunder,
A tyrant announces his anger. A beast of blood, A
creature of fire! Darkness consumes his every fiber.
No mercy! No emotion. Love is a fable, that will never
have his devotion.

Man of honor, heart of gold! A man so strong and forever
bold. A veteran that served his country, in a war no fully
told. A friend! A man. A tyrant now stands. What matter
of darkness overcame this man? Beast of blood, hatred
and sin. All the  evils, he now indulges in. Why the change?
No one knows. He turned his back on that heart of gold.

Two sons born. One is loved, the other ignored. One
accepted, one rejected! Child of darkness, feel his wrath!
You are not welcome, find your own path. Mirror image,
taunting spirit! Do you remind him of an ancient secret?
Cower with fear or stand and fight? Do you know what is
right? You choose your path, but why do you fight?

Dreams are stolen; a spirit is lost, secrets forgotten and
promises cost! Why do you challenge? The evil would end.
Something in you must fight to the end. One voice left,
cannot accept, the terror or the theft. You don't know why
but you must fight! Or be caught in eternal night.

Dance with the devil, in the late night hour. All in the hope
of ending his power. Now is the time, the story will be told
Truth or torment! A child so old.

Trapped in a prison that has no walls. Nowhere to hide
the demon has arrived. The time has come, the deal
is done. Beast of blood, hatred and sin. Is this what you
were interested in? Retribution or revenge, it's all the same
thing. The tyrant is gone and life will go on.

Now it is up to you, to decide, if we're through. Beast of
blood, hatred and sin! The creature of fire hides within
A tyrant! A man. Death now stands. Who was the victim?
Do you understand? Man of hatred! Child of sin. Fire
consumed and darkness moved in. Who was the winner?
Only time will tell. Which of you arose and which of you
fell...
