Take Flight describes the nature of different human beings. |
Take Flight Sparrows drift through the air with a draft under their wings Airplanes fly with a strength like thousands of speeding bullets Pelting through the sky as if in charge, As if they own the blue beyond Pollen, Wisps through the sky barely brushing by, Hoping above all to keep going All it can do is hope, It has no charge of it’s fate—it’s destiny What are we? Some of us are like sparrows we are small and even try to be insignificant We watch while the airplanes of our lives take over our skies and we are too scared to even stop them Then, There are the pollen puffs, Rolling through the skies as if they own the world, Secretly they are nothing They flitter through believing, That their problems will be taken and put on our backs believing, That we will make their existence possible makes it harder for us to live in ours Then there are those who are not categorized, Simply, Because they choose not to be They are in charge of their life, And in making it the best it can be We are the birds that flock together, Knowing, that there is no I in team So many flying crafts non-living and living alike don’t even make it on their first airway voyage But together, We can take flight |
