A dark poem about a false being who lives in a world that he hates in every possible way.

Odd boy
Made man
Fire outside
Rage within
A tidal wave of shame
Within a sea of hate
In his presence you must never be
If you somehow find yourself near
Dare not stop
Dare not look his way
Decimation is his only game
His only conceivable way
The odds are in his favor
His rule is king
Obliteration is how he lives
He knows nothing except ends
He is a soulless being
Lacking any and all ability to care
He does what he does
Regret plays no part
He is unconcerned
God dares not whisper his name
The devil is equally afraid
He is a mortal beast
Made into an impossible creep
Prometheus is his name
Or at least
That is what he calls himself
I'm sure that his real name
Is something quite worse
Why he hides behind another name
Why he plays such a dangerous charade
Must be his way of escaping
The true normality
Of his lifelong predicament
His namesake
Was titan turned thief
Made into a hero
That lent fire to humankind
They built fires to fuel their need
Ashes many have since become
Only the modern day Prometheus
Is the one who concerns me
And certainly should concern you
He uses fire to burn
As many of you as he can alive
He is no hero
Only a villain
Only a monster of a human
Living via the identity of another
Challenge him if you dare
With great caution
I declare
If you upset his ways
He will burn you in place
He will destroy your life
Then he will decimate your soul
After he is done
Doing what he is sure that he must
He will take your ashes
And bury them deeper then sin
You will never be found
Your soul will never escape
Imprisoned in the ground
Far above and below
Any God's reach
He himself in time will die
But until then
Many others will by his hands
Will he go to Heaven or Hell
Will God forgive his ways
Will the Devil claim that
Prometheus's evil is just too great
Such ridiculousness
I will not speculate
But until one or the other decides
I fear that he will live
As a seemingly immortal being
Who hates all that is
And most of all his very being
Odd boy
Made man
Fire outside
Rage within
A tidal wave of shame
Within a sea of hate
Dare not stop
Dare not look his way
Decimation is his game
His only conceivable way
Prometheus is his name…
