Poetry for english class, death related.
As you realize that hell is here
You joyously take your last breath
no one in the room to shed a tear
desperate for the relief of death
Over your eyes, there will form a haze
Your heart slows to a pace that’s fitting
Lacking the energy it once had, in better days
When there was no option for quitting
A single tear sprints down your face
Leaving you feeling alone
Longing for a last embrace
Something you have not well known
Who knows what lies ahead
But surely I’m better off as dead
