This is a poem I wrote for my school project and it is in the form of a Sestina. |
In her arms is held a child of which is now only a Broken memory of what it could become. It is an Image of those who came before it; a bias which its life shall be based. It cries for good reason; The pressure of a thousand tons pressing harder down into a baby's subconscious. The tears of which are as natural and occurring as the feel of rain washing over the land To cleanse a sin ridden earth. A childs’ hunger rings like the songs of sirens over the ears of the earth. Voices of mothers scream in a Desperate escape from the hands of the children clasping the land; The constant reminder of their need; an In-somatic outcry within her subconscious. A mother is only capable of the vanity of good reason. And what is the reason A mother comes so quickly to it from the solace of her sanctum of which is the earth? Is it because the guilt would gnarl wickedly and curse her subconscious? Or would she become a captive prisoner in the sanity of a A broken mood, a shattered hope and an Inhuman remain of a normal home and a sanctioned land? Pin pricks catching deftly in the voice(es), there's outcry over land. Do these children cry for good reason, Attention, vanity or suffering? But it's an Absolute need for the love of many to be able to feel adequate in the eyes of earth; A beast that is in a vain attempt of a Way out., whilst it’s tearing deep gashes in the insides of the walls of the confining subconscious. Maybe they scream in pain for their belittled and beaten subconscious. The beliefs of such a small being exiled across our land. "This is a rally for acceptance!" They would cry, and for what reason? "We are entitled to a voice on this earth!" The petty wails of a child are an Existing primal form of a want. Though too young for an actual desire, their subconscious Instinct pressures them further into digging claws into the earth, To setting a destructive inferno to the grasses and a flame to their land. And for what reason? For a form of a Mother's love that births an essential land For a child’s subconscious to form reason. And she loves him! Holds him closer than the earth holds her.
