Oh, Inspiration, why do you continue to elude me?

Why do you hide, why do you lie?

You peek out from around the corners of my imagination

Watching and waiting for me to catch up to you,

But always to no avail.

You disappear as quick as you make yourself known.

Why do you hurt me so?

Your absence causes me much sadness and grief,

For if you would only come back to me,

My words would again have a home.

I have so much to tell you, so much to say.

But you seem disinterested and then you take everything away.

Inspiration, do you not understand I am your friend, not foe.

Please come back to me, please don't go.
