Communicate: Who I am - a poem |
For today’s prompt, write a communication poem. The communication could be dialogue between two (or more people); a postcard correspondence; a letter; a voicemail; a text message; a series of tweets; or whatever. Heck, I guess a poem is a form of communication–so there’s really no way to screw up today’s prompt (outside of writing nothing at all). Let’s get this party started! I borrowed from Bob's other challenge, the platform challenge. He challenged followers to define who they are. I am defining myself in a poem. Consider yourself informed. I Am I am too nice to others I always help when I can, never refusing to lend a hand, I won’t let you down. I love ideas and thinking Sometimes I like rain, I know I don’t like pain. I like to find the truth. I fight an illness daily. I stick myself and cry and monitor the why. Why can’t I be like you? I like to be outdoors. I like to feel my feet walking down the street. Sometimes I stop and listen. Saturday is for hockey. Sunday is for football. I’ve given up on baseball, but I follow the Olympics. I vote from afar, but I live in the middle. I never use a griddle. Save the world, eat a vegan! My brain sees patterns, and it crafts fancy tales. I like to watch whales, I like to ride the ocean. My reading is eclectic. I drink coffee all the day, I never get my way. My kids take my car. I can fix your computer, or help you save money. I love you honey. This is who I am. |
