a literary response after this semester's literature subject :)
Oh my 'blak'!
Wapak!
by jannah y nomivdek

What’s in a name?
One may be so glad for the delicate sound of hers;
Others may be furious whenever hers in vain,
But nothing may be blissful when you hear it from others maw.

What’s in a color?
One may get angry when you call her charcoal;
Others may curse you when you utter not careful,
But in a place with no one is poles apart- black is beautiful.

What’s in a hand?
It is the power that may change the world
One may be on top while others may be at down
Let’s wait until it’s over – God is hope, don’t be low.

What’s on your side?
‘It’s not your business anymore!’
Thick. Curl. Black.
Well who cares.
“oh my blak”
Wapak!
