There’s a Closet on my left

And the Door is Yawnin’ Wide

A Closet on my Left

Where grey plain plaster hide



Crouched against my rolltop

Juggling my estate accounts

Ink drip’t across the ledger

Quill bitten to a nub



For there’s a Closet on my Left

Where None had ever stood

A Closet on my Left

And its Door is yawnin’ Wide



The Room’s door on my Right

Behind me, just Six Feet

If I can only reach it

Then I’d be safe outside



There’s a Closet on my Left

And it’s Door is opn’n Wide

And It Begs me to Come Inside
