Inspired by the several nights of seeing the moonlight.
A young girl laid in her bed
Still like she was dead
In her thoughts she was deep
Her room was black
Like a prison sack

Soon it was midnight
But the girl didn't sleep tight
She wanted a voice
'Cause she had no choice
So in bed she sat
So she could have a chat

She opens the blinds
And the moonlight she finds
She looks on without a frown
As the moonlight comes down
The girl sits and stares
While the moon's light flares

"Hello, Moon!"
"Sorry to talk to you so soon!"
Said the girl
As she gave her hair a quick twirl

"You are okay."
"How was your day?"
Said the moon
"What did you do at noon?"

The girl smiled
The smile of a child
She picked up her chalk
And drew with her talk
She drew what she did at noon
And showed the pictures to the moon

Soon, the girl got tired
As her energy expired
"Go to sleep, Little One."
"For our talk is done."
Said the moon
"We shall meet again soon."

The girl went to sleep
Without a little peep
She smiled
The smile of a child
As her dreams started to sway
For each night had been this way
