Just Pretend

She stares as if something is owed (?).
And when I remind she shouldn’t be here,
her nude body is pulled back,
Quickly makes me unmade she does;
does blink, in a flash, and were joined,
As if the one that severed us should earn mercy...
“I know of those things I once said,” says she,
“But again tonight, can we just pretend?”
