Was this an idea for a story?
A dream woke me to dawn’s splendor,
Beauty reflected in scarlet and rose,
Clouds tried to hide the sun’s yellow glory behind
Dark charcoal clouds transformed into angry red coals;
Everyone thought that the clouds promised a thunderstorm,
Flashes of lightning encouraged their terror that
Gallons of water would wash us away
Hysteria caused some to flee to the mountains
Ignoring the exquisite double rainbow, the
Joyous shouts of those who
Knew their salvations had arrived.
Light broke through clouds revealing
Mountains covered by avalanche snows;
Now those feeing had no safe place to hide
Only the city offered a refuge, a
Place of safety in s world gone mad:
Questions arose in my mind as I watched, was this
Reality or a continuing dream? The
Splendor of dawn seemed to scatter
The image of a nightmare transforming
Under an avalanche of hope into a
Vision of the future or another
World separated by time and space; an
X (unknown factor) in a very weird dream:
Yawning I closed my eyes hoping for more
Zs until my mind cleared and I could wake up.
