Created to Hate

How can politicians support Martin Luther King's movement
and agree with laws to send black men to prison for life for
selling drugs?
How can black people work for the system and still hate their own kind
for a check they can't even sign?
Why do we need one month out the year to celebrate our heritage when
it took our ancestors years to set us free?
How do we say let freedom ring when black men are in prison with governor's
screaming "throw away the key!"
How can we say we got good education when billions are spent building prisons?
Our boards and desks are tearing down, teachers are molesting us,
Yet they say that isn't treason.
How can i love my next door neighbor for molesting his own daughter yet his ass
is set free,
but my daddy got life for saying fuck you to a man in uniform and i ain't
even seen him since i was three.
How can I send my son to school with a system so tore down his own teacher
can't answer who the first black man was to run for president?
How is it that we trust a government to protect us when you got the democrats
fighting the republicans?
Why is it so much light shown to the violence of blacks and mexicans but the biggest
"organization" came from white men with masks that hang us from trees for being different?
Yet i find no channel on T.V that displayes this truth on a daily basis unless it's some
special edition.
How can we say "we want change" when the first black man in office has cleared the mess
done over 14 years ago and now he is wanted out the office?
How can it be known to "freedom of speech" when i'll be hated for expressing thoughts like this?

They say "go back to where you came from" but we were dragged out of our lands...
Debt needs to be paid for what we were promised yet never got to have.
How can this be the land of the free, yet we have the highest prison rate in the world?
How can we say we are free when we are tricked to wear bracelets to our wrists
that are simply chains cut in half?
How can we say we are free when the ones that set us free dont even give a damn about
what we have survived from?
How can we say we are free when we still hate one another?
