The sky was an oil painting above me. Surreal. All the colors were bright and danced as I approached. I heard everything. Maybe even things that weren’t there. As I exhaled, I tasted the meth that ran through my veins. A mix of burning brain matter and chemical fumes. As I took note of my disposition, the shadows took note of me. They crawled out of unknown places and took form, displacing the sky. No one was aware of their presence except for me. They were only animated by my breath, and moved according to my being. I found beauty in this. Immense beauty. I created an unknown. Or maybe it existed before I did? Either way, I pull the strings.
