Poem about death and the need for people to be compassionate with one another.
Lest you be bade farewell
To dust and ash you find yourself
May you let your troubles be
Close your eyes
That you may see
Into a life
Most extraordinary

May any unkindness remain unsaid
As many a muse have been misread
Amid the righteous
Is newborn strife
We may be well
To leave it behind

Among solemn hearts and broken ground
The bereft and beloved become unsound
Statuesque with such pretense
A casualty of mere innocence
May the dimensions between us rest
Bestow upon us reverence
