The Battle Won.
I'm just a soldier heading home; a lonesome traveler on the longest road.
Not a decorated veteran or a wounded hero shown;
I'm a simple girl with battle scars to prove the things I've known.

It's a triumphant kind of giving in; a knowing I'm the one who'll win.
As long as you're beside me and my God is housed within,
There's no reason not to travel home and find where rest begins.

For I have always had to fight; I'm no stranger to hurt and plight.
And it has taken a war from hell to make everything right;
But now I get to rest and love and live within your light.
