Night Music

Wind chimes reverberate softly,
melodic chant pulsing the evening breeze
outside the winter window
cracked just enough to let in
the midnight air.
Frosty notes lull
as Jack waltzes me off to dance
in night dreams while wrapped
in feathered down comfort.
Chimes toll naught but sleep.
