They didn't recognize her.

"I can't go out looking like this," I say to the Doctor.

"Come now, stop being vain," Doctor Kasper says, "we must see how strangers and friends react to the changes."

"I'm not vain," I say, "I just don't want to be attacked as a monster."

"It's not that bad," the Doctor maintains.  "It's a worth while cause.  To achieve peace we must be able to coexist with the people below without freaking out."

"Besides, a deal's a deal," he continues.  "If you want the full amount, the experiment must be completed."

You're thinking, sure, that's how this ditzy whatever she is, got involved in a weird experiment.  But I really wanted, no needed, a new Heigeldorf player.  The one that puts you in the scene, experiencing it directly.  That one.

I'm stuck.  Doctor Kasper worked his science, or magic, or whatever.  I look like a young female from the planet below.

"All right," I finally say. "Let's try it."

Stepping into a public tunnel, I run into Glorianna, a bitch even when I look my best.

"Hello Glori," I say to break the ice.

"Ewww," she replies, almost gagging.  "How did one of you get up here?"

"It's me, Chrisianna," I say.

"No you're not.  Get away from me," Glori screams as she backs away.

"Stop you," a patrol robot hollers at me.  "We can't have your kind terrorizing the tunnels."

"I'm not what you think," I say, trying to explain.

Fortunately, Doctor Kasper rescues me, showing the patrol his experiment certification.

It's over!  Now for my Heigeldorf.

Doctor Kasper worries about how much more work is required.

"It's not just today," he says.  "It was even worse when I carried out the reverse on Earth.  Screaming about Martians.  Didn't even recognize us as coming from their own moon."
