A daughter for every mum....

A tiny heartbeat throbs in womb,
a little being your own...
Girl transforms to a mother
a compassionate loving soul...

Dreams twinkle in eyes so bright,
and face glows like moon,
building castles in air so fresh,
for the new sun to rise soon...

Nine months fly in a blink of an eye,
the girl is titled 'mum',
a little angel comes crying out,
and life takes a swift turn...

This girl who was a daughter once,
now a mother of one,
and only then she realizes,
unconditional giving of her mum...

When tears roll down this new-mum's eyes,
coping with surprises : new-born,
her father quivers with his daughters pain,
and finally he learns;
the hardships of his darling wife,
who gifted him this angel,
his daughter :
now 'a mum'.....



Dedicated to all the mothers blessed with daughters;
because they probably are the only mothers whose sacrifices and hardships will be truly acknowledged with the arrival of their grandchild....
