If you are the tide,
Then I am the shoreline.
If you are the sun,
Then I am the skyline.
If you are the wind,
Then I am the sand,
Small and insignificant,
Given flight by your hand.
If you are the tide,
Then I am the shoreline.
If you are the sun,
Then I am the skyline.
If you are hope,
Then I am the hopeful.
You are,
Water to a dying plant,
Water over a castle of sand.
