Cramp entry. A poem about an atypical robot |
| Running ramped ‘round the road Was a robot whom just newly knowed That indeed a robot he was made To perform the tasks humans wanted and bade. Silly stainless steel disheveled bot Has but the wish that he was not Made by those, his new found brothers, As unlike him as the kin of Shakespeare’s lovers. Though through and through the truth he knew, A robot’s life he would never do. For in his mind he had ambition To live a life devoid of lifeless repetition. Calming quickly, he quelled his rage As he realized the world’s his stage To live and do as no robot before And make a name no human could ignore. Promptly practiced he his powerful resolution, Never once allowing his vigor’s dissolution, Did he become what he set out to be; A robot enrobed by wealth and felicity. From forlorn to fortune the robot fought To succeed to do what most humans do not. So like this bot all should strive To live a life that makes us alive! |
