Fire

I have been through the flames of hell.

for the reasons I was chosen are unknown to me.

I cry out to god and thank him that I'm still here,

burnt but not out.

Thinking thoughts others don't think,

knowing things others don't know,

and not knowing what's going to come of me.

I thank god for keeping me here,

and I know that out there when I fall, he will lift me up.
