A poem about a jester: dark, sarcastic, with quite a few ways to be interpreted.
Laugh and cry,
Smile and frown,
Whether you’re wearing rugs
Or a luxurious gown.

Dance and sing,
And be entertained.
Drink your wits,
And eat all the treats.

My words tickle your ears,
My jokes kill all your fears.
My voice is your distraction,
As your eyes follow my actions.

Ignorant fools,
Pitiful tools.
Payers of tax,
And slaves of the lux.
Small little puppets,
Mindless like ants

Laugh and cry,
Smile and frown.
Your king is dead,
I cut off his head.

Now I wear the crown,
And he is the clown!
