this poem is about jealousy and the pain of liking your best friend, who has a girlfriend
I hate when you smile at her
And when you hold her hand
I want to cry when you hug her
When you hold her so close
It's ever worse knowing that at one point in time
That was you and me
I hate that she has you
And she's not letting you go
I don't want you to see that it hurts me so bad
But I can't always pretend
My fake smile is starting to fade
And soon, I'm sure, you'll see through it
But you're happy
And I can't take that from you
So even though it hurts so bad
I'll live
I'll pull through
And you won't ever know
I cry myself to sleep every night
