Maybe it was a few weeks, or maybe it went on several months. Michael Jackson dominated my conscious thoughts. We had lots of clever conversations. Sometimes I tried to make him answer my interview questions honestly. I could always tell when he was lying because he didn't wear his sunglasses anymore. I could see him in my mind's eye as clear and true. I figure he saw me well enough.
I won't say there weren't conversations and situations involving sex. It wasn't totally about sex though. It was about our human situation, things we all do universally, sometimes to spite ourselves. We concurred that trusting people is one of those things. We want to take people at face value, that they are who they say, with no hidden intentions or extra agendas. We decided we both couldn't trust easily, if ever. Not a good thing, but a human thing, an age thing perhaps. After living fifty years, there's not much point in naitivity.
