A 9/11 memorial poem. Ten years later.
America

It stands united; can not be torn.
The bonds between its people can not be worn.
Like a phoenix, it rises from the ashes.
From the smallest of wounds to the biggest gashes.
Its people unite to protect their land.
They stand together, hand in hand.
There are many heroes, like the ones who fight fire,
To keep us safe from those who conspire.
Or police; who put their lives on the line.
To be there when we need them every single time.
When there's a tragedy, our heroes arrive,
To keep everybody safe and alive.
America's a country that's strong and true.
Mess with us, and believe me, you're through.
But if you try to, we will avenge;
In the name of justice, not revenge.
