This is a poem of reflection on life and self.
I love the Texas rain in the Fall,
the smell of Summer roses in bloom, the waft of waffles or eggs benedict with toast cooking in the kitchen, on a Sunday after noon.

I love the coming of Winter, a few weeks just before Spring, the sound of  cathedral church bells upon their usual noon day rings.

I love the music of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Edelle and B B King

I love to read my favorite books and poems by Angelou, Hughes, Twain, Shakespeare  Frost and Blake.

I love the rise of the sun and watching the passing clouds as day gives way to night and the beautiful shapes they make.

I love the people as they come and go on the busy New York City Streets.

The thing I've learned to love the most of all is being alive and me.
