The past is but a memory
The light shown dimly in the poorly lit room. It hung from the ceiling flickering slowly as the light struggled to stay on. The room was small and had no doors and no windows. It had but one chair, one light and one man. The man sat in the chair watching the light with a sorrowful expression on his face. As he watched the light he began to cry. It wasn't a sob or even a small trickling. It was as if was remembering someone dear and his heart wanted to cry out for that person to return. He sat gazing at the light crying without tears until the light in the room was no more.
