A poem about finding true freedom.
Dry tears flow from my eyes
Burning my porcelain skin

Silent screams erupt from swollen throats
Piercing the bleeding ears
of the statues
gracing my dark cell

Wings erupt from marble backs
Velvet black blocking my screams
Breaking through the stones and hearts
surrounding me

My chains finally broken
Shattering from the piercing blades
My heart lies in pieces
Silent screams erupting no more
Dry tears falling for, forever more
Burning my porcelain skin
