We all endeavour to cope with life
Looking for a certain kind of numbness - a chemically altered state
because I need to get away from the pains of the days
in a world I'm trying hard not to hate.
Artificially inducing numbness, most certainly is not the only way
but the way within my brain is blocked by pressure, stress and strain
and there just isn't enough hours in the day.
If by now you think I'm a depressive, you've obviously mis-understood.
The pressures, stress and strain \i've had, though sometimes bad and make me sad
are what have helped me find my inner greater-good.
Sometimes I simply need to flick the switch off, so my brain can then 'defrag' and sort things out
so then my brain is once again able to drive in the right lane
to move along the journey life is all about.
