implications of our actions on our life
I was powerful when I came in this World
I could weave my own life, my own destiny I could swirl
I could be whatever I want, a pirate or a hero
I could be a generous king, or be another pharaoh
but I chose to listen to those around me
I didn’t realize that I could break free..
..free of guilt, norms and all traditions
free as a bird, with my own aspirations
I kept myself trapped in “expected behavior”
I didn’t take any action, and kept waiting for my savior
Now when life has passed me by,
it is with regret that I must say
instead of giving way to ordinary and proper
I should’ve lived it according to my own desires
..i should’ve made room for passion and fire
