Once again two young adults becomes victim to the evil clown, this time at a beach. |
Summertime is beach time, and every year thousands of people pack the beaches of America to soak up the sun, swim in the ocean, and to enjoy the famous boardwalks filled with food, fun, and everything else. On one particular week, the young couple of Michael and Michelle decided to celebrate their upcoming year of college by spending sometime at the shore. The two really enjoyed themselves starting on the day they arrived, but while their Friday was full of fun and excitement, their Saturday turned out to be the complete opposite. As dawn was approaching, twenty year old Michael was standing on the deck area of the shore house their parents help them rent for the week. Michael, who is six foot tall, well in shape, wearing gray sports shorts and a red Hollister t-shirt and black designer flip flops, was waiting for his girlfriend Michelle to finish getting dressed so they could take an early morning walk on the beach. "You almost ready?" he called to his girlfriend. "Almost." she replied. When she stepped out onto the deck with a small black school bag, Michael couldn't help but admire how lucky he was to have such a beautiful girlfriend. Michelle, who is the same age as Michael, was almost as tall as him with long black hair that laid loosely. She was wearing short shorts that exposed her long slender legs, a green and white t-shirt, and wore white flip flops that enhanced her beautifully clear polished toes. "Have I told you how beautiful you are?" said Michael while putting his arms around her. "Yes," Michelle replied. "More often than you think. But never stop." Then the two kissed and hand in hand started walking towards the beach. The beach was several blocks away from their house, but even so those blocks were long and made the beach seem further than it actually was. They didn't mind. It was still dark outside, but light was beginning to appear over the horizon. A cool breeze was blowing as the two walked the long blocks. They could only hear the sounds of their flip flops lapping their heels. They passed under the boardwalk, removed their flip flops and placed them in the black bag, and made their way down to the edge of the ocean. As the sun was beginning to shine light over the shore, the two of them could see all the sand castles and sand sculptures that were left behind from the previous days fun on the beach. There were all kind of castles and homes made out of sand. One sand home was very detailed with small images on the walls, holes made to look like windows, and it even had a chimney. Upon further inspection the two noticed it was even hollow on the inside. There was even a little toy that looked like a clown inside. Michael then had a devious idea. "These sand sculptures looked really nice, but it's a new day so they should be destroyed.." he said looking at the tiny home. "I don't know," replied Michelle in question. "People spent a lot of time on these sculptures so people can come to the beach to admire them." "Yeah, people come here to lay on the beach or play. They can't let these things take up space that could be used by others." "Yeah, I guess you are right." Michelle said still uncertain. "I can see you would feel bad if we destroyed any of them, but I really want too." said Michael. "Can I at least smash this little house?" "I guess one wouldn't hurt. Let me take the toy out first." Michelle bent down and using her fingers, pulled out the clown toy and set him up facing the house. With a smile on his face, Michael cocked his foot back and gave a swift kick to the tiny house sending sand flying everywhere. He then hopped up and down on top where the house use to be flattening the sand beneath his feet. Michael was laughing rather sadistically at what he had just done. "Feel better?" asked Michelle. "Oh yeah." replied Michael. The sun was rising up higher giving more light to the beach. The two of them admired the other sculptures one last time and began walking down the beach's edge away from the clown toy that sat stone still facing what use to be his sand home. Some ways down the beach the two of them saw large rocks that made a line stretching into the ocean. They decided to take a walk on them to see how far they could get. Michelle left the bag near the edge of the rocks and began walking a top the rocks. The rocks were wet with the ocean waves splashing them, which made them cool to the touch. They walked along the rocks somewhat slowly as they were a bit slippery. They had plans to go swimming that day, but not at that exact moment. When they reached the farthest rock they stopped and took in the view. Then, Michelle pulled her cell phone from her pocket, and took a picture of herself an Michael cheek to cheek smiling. Afterwords, they made their way back to the beach. Upon reaching it, Michelle noticed the black bag that only contained their flip flops was missing. "Where did my bag go?" Michelle asked frantically looking around. "Where did you leave it?" asked Michael. "I left it right at the edge of the rock so I could easily grab it when we got back. "Who would take a bag with flips flops in it?" Michael looked around. "Aside that, there isn't anyone around who would take it." They continued to look all around when Michelle spotted something. "Isn't that the same little sand house and clown toy we saw when we got here?" she asked. "It can't be. I destroyed it remember?" Michael replied. He destroyed it once, and given the situation he was in the mood to destroy something so it might as well be the little house and not one of the larger sculptures. Michael walked up next to the sand house, moved the toy to face the house again and said. "Sorry, it's this house or something nicer. Either way I'm kicking something." Michael was usually a calm individual, but he seemed unusually ticked off about the fact their bag of flip flops was stolen. Michelle sort of felt bad that two tiny homes that some person took careful time to make was going to get destroyed….or so she thought. Michael coked his right foot back and released giving the house a swift kick. Instead of sand flying everywhere like last time, Michaels foot thudded on the side with a thump. Michaels eyes widened and he grabbed his barefoot in his hands and screamed out loud "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" Unable to keep his balance, Michael began to hop around while holding his foot like a cartoon character who had been given a hotfoot, or like the time when Michelle and Michael were lifting weights while they didn't wear shoes, and Michelle accidentally dropped on of the weight on Michael's foot. "What happened?" Michelle asked concerned. "OW OW, I don't know," said Michael still hopping around. "It was like I kicked a brick wall or something. YEOWCH!" Michelle inspected the little house feeling it and realizing it was not sand house. "Or cement." she said. "What?" "This house feels like cement." Michelle said. That didn't comfort Michael anymore and seemed to make him cry in pain and hop some more. He eventually settled down and sat down in the sand to inspect his foot. There would be no lasting damage, but it sure smarted a lot. He rubbed the upper portion of his right foot including the toes, which made his foot feel a little better. Michael noticed the clown toy was missing. "Where did the toy go?" asked Michael. Michelle, who was still near the house looked around. "I don't know, I didn't move it." she said. They were beginning to get a little nervous. Michelle was getting a little ticked off and walked off. "I need to go destroy something myself. You wait here." "No problem," said Michael still rubbing his foot. "Not like I can run after you." Michelle walked along the beach until she found a simple bucket sand mound. Michael a small spec in the distance. She felt it with her toes to make sure it wasn't a prank like the little house. When she felt sand, she began stomping and kicking it and emitting her frustration by how things were going wrong this early in the morning. She felt a little better doing that, but that relieved feeling soon turned to discomfort when she felt a painful pinch on her toes, specifically the big toe on her right foot and the two little toes next to it. She looked down with her mouth wide open in pain trying to scream, but no words to come out, and saw a crab who's claws were clamped on her toes. "OUCH OUCH OOOOOOUUUUCCCHHHHHH!" Michelle yelled while grabbing her right foot in her hands. She expected to see the crab still attached to her toes, but when she didn't see it, she grasped them firmly in her hands and began hopping up and down in place. "My toes my toes! That crab just bit my toes." She stopped hopping long enough to inspect her toes while still holding them. They were red marks around where the crab had bitten them. Then a thought crossed her mind. Since she had not hopped away from where the crab had bitten her toes nor did the crab clamp on to them long enough to be flung away then that meant the crab must have still been by her. Unfortunately when she realized this, the crab had already clamped his claws down on the same toes except on her left foot. "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" she shouted and quickly placed her right foot down and grabbed at her left toes in her hands. This time she hopped away from the crab. Now here toes were throbbing in pain on both feet. She alternated between feet as she hopped around putting one foot down before grabbing the other. She made her way to the water to soak her toes in. The water rising and retreating along her sore toes felt good, but the pain was still there. She wiggled her toes as the water passed over them. Luckily, the worst of the pain was just that, nothing that would not subside with time. "You ok?" said a familiar voice from behind her. It was Michael. "I could hear you shouting from where I was sitting." "Not sure," Michelle replied. "I just had my toes on both feet bitten by a crab. It really hurt." "A crab?" "Yes." "Well, if I see that crab, I'll show it who's boss." said Michael. Michelle turned around and gave him a kiss on the lips for wanting to avenge her pain. It was only then that….SNAP! "YEEOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!" Michael jumped in the air and clutched the toes on his left foot and began hopping around in pain. When Michelle realized the same crab had clamped its claws on Michaels foot to make him hop around in pain, the crab had already made it's way to her, and clamped his claws on the toes on her right foot. She screamed the same "YEOW!" as Michael and joined him in the dance. Both Michael and Michelle were hopping around while holding their toes and crying in pain. In all their crying and moaning they heard a sound like someone was laughing at them. They couldn't blame whomever it was because they did look silly hopping around while holding their toes. They looked around and saw no one, but still heard laughing. "YEOWCH! Who's laughing at us?" asked Michelle. "OW! I don't know, I can't see….wait is that…"said Michael pointing while holding his toes with one hand. It was the toy clown except he wasn't a toy. He looked like a tiny human clown. It was riding on top of the crab that had been having it's ways with the couples toes. Michael also realized the clown had their black bag with their flip flops in it. "The clown must have stolen the bag when we went on the rocks" "Why is it doing this too us?" asked Michelle. Right then Michael knew the answer. "Because I destroyed his sand home." "So why is he coming after me too?" "You pulled him out of the house and watched me destroy it without intervening." Michael then drove at the clown to grab the bag. The crab moved out of the way unusually fast, and Michael fell face first into sand. The clown sped off quickly on the crab inland. Michelle made a dive for the bag as well, but missed as well hitting the sand face first. Regardless of who was to blame for what had been happening to them thus far that morning, both of them knew they had to catch that clown. Then took off after it barely being able to keep up, partially because the clown's pet crab was strangely fast as well as their injured feet and toes made it hard to run. They chased the clown under the boardwalk where they stopped and went no further while the clown continued to speed off in the distance. "Why did we stop?" asked Michelle. "If you haven't noticed it is getting really hot out here now that the sun is up." replied Michael. "So?" "If you also haven't noticed, the clown has our flip flops. It's all black asphalt from here to our house, which is where I bet he is going." "Oh my," she exclaimed. "We are going to get one big hot foot." The couple made a mad dash down the road. It didn't burn at first, but the longer they were on the street the hotter the bottoms of their feet got until they started burning. They yelped and cried and ran faster when they could. Occasionally they would run on people's grassy lawns to help cool their burning feet, but the run home was painfully hot none the less. When they arrived back at their house, the two of them immediately rushed for the backyard hose and cooled their feet off. "That feels amazing." Michelle said. "My feet are still on fire even with the cold water." Michael said. Both would swear they saw steam emitting from their feet when the water hit them. The bottom of their feet were all black from the dirt and the burns. Near the back door, Michelle noticed their black bag. "Hey. It's our bag." When she picked it up and looked inside she found nothing. Then from inside the house both could hear the clown's laugh. "Oh no, he's in the house." exclaimed Michael. "Are you sure?" asked Michelle. SNAP! "YEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!" Michelle began hopping around while holding the toes of her left foot in her hands. The clown's crab had struck again, which was more than enough proof for Michelle that the clown was inside the house. The crab made a dash for the door and it opened long enough for the crab but shut before Michael could. "That's it I'm coming in!" said Michael angrily and was about to charge the door when. "STOP!" shouted an unknown voice that sounded of a girl. Michael looked over and saw a girl and a boy standing in the backyard. The girl was wearing a blue t-shirt and jean short shorts and her hair was tied into a pony tail. The boy was wearing a plain grey t-shirt with black sports shorts. Both were barefoot. "Don't rush in like that because you will only get hurt some more." said the boy. "Then what should we do?" asked Michelle who was rubbing her toes while standing on one foot. "Who are you two anyway?" "Unfortunately two former victims." said the girl. "My name is Jessica and this is my brother Andrew." "Nice to meet you. Two former victims?" said Michael. "Yes unfortunately. We encountered this clown in our neighborhood back home." said Andrew. "He caused all kinds of grief to our feet." "We had caught him and were going to drown him in a river, but he escaped." said Jessica. "We hadn't seen him since until today. We are spending time in our shore home across the street. We saw the clown ride in on the crab." "How terrible. The clown has been doing us all kind of things to our feet. Well, he's mainly used his foot torturing crab against us." said Michelle. "We think it is because we destroy….I mean I destroyed his sand home on the beach." said Michael. "Neither of us did anything to him when he terrorized us so who knows what is motive is other than simple pleasure." said Andrew. "We want to help you." said Jessica. "Thank you," replied Michelle. "We appreciate it." "Since there is four of us now let's split up between the front and back of the house." said Michael. "Girls and boys?" asked Michelle. "Sure." replied Michael. So it was, Michael and Andrew went in through the back of the house while Michelle and Jessica entered through the front. They knew what would end up happening in the house wouldn't be pleasurable, but for their sakes it had to be done. For Michael and Michelle it would be relief to rid themselves of the clown. For Andrew and Jessica, it would be retribution and closure for what happened to them before. As far as the clown would be concerned, it just meant double the fun. Michael and Andrew were the first to enter the house since they were closest to the door. Michael took out the key to the house from his pocket and unlocked the door and opened it slowly. At first glance, the house was in order but when the enemy can hide in small spaces, that is to be expected. When Andrew made his way into the house, he quietly shut the door behind him to make sure they could get the drop on the clown. Michael instructed Andrew to check around the kitchen cabinets while he searched the dining room. All Andrew could remember was him pulling the box out of the closet and having his foot whomped by the clown and his large hammer so he checked the lower cabinets first. They turned out to be empty. The upper cabinets, however, were full……full of canned goods and one sadistic clown. As Andrew stood up, he was greeted by the little clown with a big smile that startled Andrew a little. The clown was holding a large can of vegetables at the edge of the counter, but Andrew wasn't quick enough to move right foot when the can was dropped. It landed with a loud WHUMP on his bare toes on his right foot. Andrew immediately grabbed his right foot and clutches his toes in his hands as he began hopping up and down in place. "OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!" Andrew yelled, which alerted Michael. The clown wasn't finished though as he had a second large can next to him, which he pushed over the edge onto Andrew's bare toes on his left foot. The timing was perfect of the can landing on Andrew's toes as his foot landed on the ground from the hop. "OOW WOOW OWWW!" was all Andrew could yell and he immediately dropped his right foot to grab his left one. Michael saw it all from Andrew hopping up and down to the clown dropping the second can on Andrew's toes. The only thing he didn't see while trying to rush to Andrew's aid, was the well placed mousetrap the clown had secretly set up on the floor. Michael stepped on it with his left foot and felt the immense pain from the snap on his toes. "YEEEEEEEOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!" he yelled as he grabbed his foot to take the mousetrap off. After doing so, he joined Andrew in hopping around the kitchen clutching his foot. The clown just laughed at their pain and scampered off towards the front of the house. Michelle and Jessica had no idea what had happened to the boys. Michelle was still trying to recover from all the abuse her toes had received from the crab biting them so many times. Jessica volunteered to take point, for the sake of Michelle's toes even if it means she will end up having her toes abused. The too entered the house quietly, although they could hear the boys wincing and crying in pain indicating to them they had been unsuccessful. The girls began to look around the living room to see if they could find the clown. Michelle looked in every small space she could. Jessica checked the coat closet near the front door. Like Andrew, she looked low first, but she should have looked high instead. When she did, the clown dropped an iron that landed on top of her right foot. "YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW OOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!" shouted Jessica. The scream was loud enough that the neighbors could have heard, but they weren't home. She snatched her foot up in and instance. She was practically in tears as she hopped around while holding her foot in her hands. She hopped over to the couch and sat down still clutching her foot in both hands crying in pain. Michelle felt bad for Jessica taking the hit, so she stormed over to the closet and grabbed the clown in her hand. "How dare you torture my toes like you have?!" she said with anger at the clown. "How dare you torture her feet or anyone's. Now I have you in my grasp and you will pay." Michelle never got the revenge she was looking for. All she got was her toes on her right foot pinched for the umpteenth time by the crab who had been well hidden in the closet. "YEEEEEOOOOOOOOOWWWWCCCCCHHH NOT MY TOOOTSIES AGAIN!" she yelled as she let go of the clown to clutch her bare toes on her right foot. She didn't hop around this time, and fortunately for her the clown and the crab left and made their way upstairs. By then, Michael and Andrew came into the room having just recovered from their injuries. "Sis are you okay?" asking Andrew seeing his sister sitting on the couch in tears clutching her foot. "No," she moaned "The clown dropped an iron on my foot." "What? That bastard." replied Andrew in rage. "He dropped large cans on my toes." "And I stepped on a mousetrap he set up." added Michael. "Yeah…well, that crab bit my toes again." said Michelle still clutching her toes. "I don't know how much more my poor tootsies can take of this abuse." "Well, which way did the clown go?" "Upstairs." Michelle pointed. The boys offered to check it out since Jessica was still in a lot of pain as was Michelle. The boys walked up the stairs slowly and headed towards Michael's bedroom. They heard the clowns laugh emanating from there. The door to the room was not fully closed, which Michael suspected was a trap. They cautiously approached the door and when they neared, Michael pushed the door open with some force. As predicted, it was a trap. A large rock, which appeared to have come from outside fell from a top the door to the floor. Still cautious, the two entered the room slowly eying the entire room. They each checked high and low together for whatever it was. Then they heard the closet door shut. Ah they have him now. Michael and Andrew got on the same side the door would swing open at to avoid getting hurt. Twice they predicted the clown's attack, and twice they were able to avoid it. As soon as the door was open the clown jumped out smashing the floor with a large wooden mallet. The clown looked confused seeing nobody around, until Michael yanked him up by the mallet's head. The clown was too high up to let go so he thrashed around and grunted and growled at Michael. The crab then came charging out from under the bed to help his master, but Andrew, who was on the bed, snatched up the crab by the back of the shell with his left hand. "Thought you could get us this time?" said Michael to the clown then he laughed. "Game over." said Andrew. "Where should we put them?" "Let's take them back to the kitchen. We will put them in lock n' lock containers. They won't be able to get out." It seemed almost too good to be true they caught them. Unfortunately, the clown started kicking at Andrew when he was close enough too. Andrew instinctively used his left hand to push the clown off. Being that the crab was in that hand, it used one of it's claws to pinch Andrew's fingers. "OWWWW!" he shouted. The grip was tight and soon Andrew found it dangling from his right hand. The crab saw the opportunity and let go, and fell on the floor landing right next to Michael's toes on his left foot. In a matter of seconds of the crab landing on the floor he snapped his pincers on the little toes on Michael. "OH MY TOES!" Michael shouted as he let go of the clown to clutch his sore toes. The clown landed on top of the crab and used the mallet to smash Andrew's right foot. And just like that, the clown was gotten away again leaving the two boys hopping around while holding their sore feet and toes. The clown pulled out a large ladder from a small bag called "Bag O' Supplies" and used it to climb out the open window. The crab tried climbing the ladder, but his awkward body shape made it hard. The girls had come up by then with a glass jar in their hand and snatched the crab up. "No more toe torturing for you." said Michelle with a smile. "You two okay?" asked Jessica. "Swell." both the boys replied sarcastically still hopping up and down holding their feet. "The clown escaped out the window." replied Michael. "Let's go stop him." replied Michelle. The boys put their feet down on the ground and with the girls lightly limped out the room and made their way outback. Upon arrival they saw the clown starting up a little clown car that resembled a Volkswagen buggy except with carnival colors and shapes on it. It sputtered and rumbled, but sped off in a hurry. It rocketed past their feet. "YEOWCH!" shouted Jessica. When the smoke cleared, everyone noticed the clown has run over Jessica's toes on her right foot. They could tell because there were tire tracks on them. "He ran over my toes!" she said as they clutched them. "Quick lets follow them." commanded Michael. "Let's use my car since we are still barefooted." They jumped into Michael's 4x4 Jeep Liberty and quickly took after the clown. Being that it was still early in the morning, oddly only seven thirty, barely anyone was on the road so nobody noticed a clown car riding around. The clown made it's way to the boardwalk and hopped out and took off on the beach. The four of them parked near by and took off after it. The beach was huge and empty and since the clown was small it was hard to see, even if he was dressed in bright colors. When they found him, they saw he had taken up refuge in a sculpted sand castle. They surrounded the large castle and Michael used his toes to make sure it was sand and not cement as before. "Give up clown!" called Michael. "We have you surrounded. The clown just grunted and laughed and through sand at him. "Let's all destroy this castle together." said Jessica with a determined look on her face disregarding past history. The four of them cocked back their legs and gave the castle a swift kick. Indeed the castle was made of sand and not cement so the well sculpted sand castle came crashing down, but the loud metal twang that was heard when their feet hit the castle did all but make them jump for joy. They were all jumping, but jumping up and down while clutching their extremely sore foot after discovering they had just kicked a large anvil. They hopped and cried and clutched their sore feet really hard. Others who were walking around the beach couldn't help but raise and eyebrow to the strange sight of four young adults hopping around while clutching their foot. The crab that aided the clown in his antics was no where to be found either. The clown also disappeared and was not seen for the remainder of the vacation. But for the rest of that day, the four of them just sat on the beach massaging their sore feet and looked back on everything that has happened to them. It was a hard lesson to learn, one that was taught twice too Andrew and Jessica, that no one and that means no one can escape the wrath of the foot torturing clown. |
