About myself, taking ego into account, hence the title of this piece.
I am here. I suppose that’s as good a place to begin as any. So, let’s do.

I am too much for myself sometimes. Sometimes, I’m not enough, and that’s a good thing, because of what it does for me. I am always driven to become more. I’m never satisfied, but sometimes I am.

I am totally satisfied right now.

I am a little neurotic, pretty random, with a mind that makes connections and jumps that no one ever seems to get. I’m smarter than I think I am. I’m nowhere near as smart as I tell myself. I may have a little bit of a God complex, insofar as it’s possible to have a ‘little bit’ of such a thing.

I am myself, and it took me quite some time to get comfortable with him. I am a 1950’s kind of guy. I am still unaware of what pineapple soda tastes like. I am someone who alternates between liking and hating being out in the rain. I am the sky at night, open and vast.

I am not all that great at self-reflection. I am not a million other things. I am not bound by your rules, your laws, your thoughts, or indeed, by my own, for that matter. I am not who I show most of the world, but then again, none of us are. ‘I am not a crook’ (haha). I am not you or him, or her, or me, or us. Just like everyone else, I am totally unlike anyone else.

I am quiet. I am thoughtful. I am considerate. I am a jerk from time to time. I am pretty selfish. I am outside the realm of normal pretty much all the time. I am witty. I am speechless. I am brilliant and boneheaded, and last of all: I am so much more than the words on this page, and forever will be.
