"She wonders when her heart will heal" |
Silently she lays in bed As tears fall down the sides of her head Her face contorted as she tries Not to let him hear her cries She listens to his footsteps sound As he gently moves around Thinking everything’s alright Not knowing she dreams of him every night She loves him more than words can say And doesn’t want it to be this way Not wanting to believe it’s real She wonders when her heart will heal She wants to feel his naked form Pressed against her, soft and warm She wants to wake up by his side Filled with happiness, filled with pride She can’t see herself being with another And hates the thought of him together With someone else to hold him near This has always been her greatest fear Blinded by her own affection With him she felt complete perfection Without him life seems so surreal She wonders when her heart will heal She misses the smile he used to share The twinkling eyes of his loving stare She misses the tingling touch of his skin The passionate sighs that rose from within She’ll never again feel his caress Never again feel the press Of his soft lips against her own The greatest sensations she’s ever known She knows deep down it’s for the best But it doesn’t ease the ache in her chest Pain more intense than she’ll ever feel She wonders when her heart will heal |
