Never Loved

Some of us have never loved...
never been blessed with someone who fits us like a glove...
and then those of us who have loved and lost...
and are left there standing in the frost...

You could argue about which above ist better...
but both make you feel like you have been put through the shredder...
either way makes you feel hopeless and alone...
with no one at night to call your own...

But there is always hope if we keep on trying
and aftere awhile we finally stop crying...
to know that there is someone out there waiting for us...
someone to hold at night to care for and trust...

Sometimes it can happen from the most unexpected place...
it starts with a few kind words, a friendly face...
be the person near or be he far...
he may be the one you wished for from the fallen star...

Even if you have to wait to be with that person for awhile...
due to life's circumstances and obstacles thrown in front of you in a pile...
just be patient and wait a little longer...
sooner or later your life will be made stronger...

By the person you never expected to fill the hole in your heart...
and now it's time to begin, it's time to start...
to live, to love, to feel alive again...
and be with the man who will only love you to the end.
