an analogy between rain and love
At best morning rain is extraordinary. In June it comes but once in a blue moon.
The tomato plants are wonderfully drenched and appear to swoon
What a delight for the garden to enjoy the unexpected downpour
I think I see marigold fairies afoot, spinning dizzily like visions of a tale in folklore
Dancing in the heavenly drops, swaying in the wind, Knowing nourishment comes soon.

Now the weather changes and it is clear and the sky attempts to be bright
Slowly giving way to a promise of an increased abundance of light
Plants dripping in the moisture, leaves and fruit apparently heavy with the weight
Then the sun finally returns to lessen the burden and increasing the hope based on the wait.
Dancing in the heavenly drops, swaying in the wind, all is completely nourished by noon.

How much is this like me when dealing with the burden of being alone and feeling the drought?
But like the plants I take for granted the opportunity to quench my thirst and change my route
Love unanticipated comes and fills my heart with a saturating moisture similar to a deep soak
Intoxicated I enjoy the bliss for the moment it is here, forgetting to appreciate the comforting cloak.
Dancing in the heavenly wash, swaying in the wind, the moment is gone too soon.
