A short poem I created about the death of a vampiress after her heart has been broken.
The Final Sunrise

All alone her sorrow grows as darkness descends,
A bleak tranquillity instilled as her last defence,
The silent tears of a lasting stress ambient the air,
No emotion as she sits in solitary care,
Triumph for her demons for she is at a loss,
A past she fears a long time can never be forgot,
The nightmares that surround her strike nothing in her face,
Still as nature can permit remains her solemn grace,
And as the sunlight reaches in beyond the wooden boards,
She turns to dust with open arms like sandstorms on the shores.
