An empty shell.

No trace of death's essence
No breath of illness.

Fading footprints.
A broken swing.
A weed choked path.
Gone beyond.

Gone.
Childhood fading.
Forgotten songs.
A bumbled dance.
A tide of wrongs.

Brittle courage.
A shield of bronze.
Gone.

Gone is...
The fear.
The doubt.
The pain.
The Nonentity
Gone, silence, gone.

A voice speaks.
Words echo.
A heart beats.
A soul learns to dream.
A spirit discovers how to soar.
Gone is the despair.
Much is gone, but never hope.


Sometimes...

Is a word we all know.
Is a wish that remains unspoken.
Is a dream we never will forget.
Is that intangible something that makes us try.
Is the secret we keep close, thinking no one will understand.

Makes us wonder.
Makes us laugh for the sheer joy of being alive.
Makes us shy away from the world.
Make us angry.
Makes us fight, about who and what, only you know the answer to that.
Makes us go, pressing on until you know you can't go one step further.
Makes us spontaneous.
Makes us insane in the eyes of the world.

We know we have to take the leap.
We have to forget a fight.
We have to laugh until it hurts.
We need to dance with abandon, forgetting the steps.
We need to spin until we're dizzy.
We need to dream.
We need to remember that insanity, anything seen by jealous eyes as unique and promising, is one of the greatest treasures ever bestowed.
We need to seize that glimmering star with both hands and fight for it.
