Dying wish

The thoughts I had as I thought of someone close to me dying.

For a moment I thought I'd lost you forever,
For a moment I thought you gone.
My heart faded each moment I thought I'd never see you again.
Images of death flooded through, instead of images of you.
My mind shifted to being alone, of me having no one.
No longer could I hold you, talk to you, love you...
The feelings of pain flowed in and my mind and heart shut down.
For a moment I knew I'd lost you,
now all undone...
