You've forsaken all my love.....
She's serving as more than distraction.
And you love her more than you know.
It's like you worship her with a passion,
As you guard her from all of her foes.

You will never forsake your temptress,
And her evil ways you condone.
You build for her a fortress,
As her poison eats at your bones.

She has you consumed in her fire;
But you cannot yet feel the burn.
I wish you could see she's a liar;
I wish from her you would turn.

But you gave up your beauty for ashes,
Traded all my diamonds for sand.
And you'll die with your hand on the bottle,
wondering what we might have had.
