Poem about being who you are
What is it you need butterfly
Dig down deep with your shovel and see
Open up that far away place hidden away
Buried under the dirt of what you wanted to say
Push through the thicket and brush
Ignore all voices telling you to stop
The cuts on the outside of the skin
Cannot harm the most important within
Keep fighting to reach to the fountain on the other side
Let it come to the surface
It's real and alive
It has been suffocated and choked
Let it speak loudly while others listen close
Don't cower in the corner afraid of eyes you pass
Cowards and judgements never last
Separate your wings beautiful butterfly
And lift from this branch up to the sky
