Life's Hard but Jesus is good

Today I walked a rugged road.

On my back, was a heavy load.

I felt my heart would break inside

And there were times, I sat and cried.



I know just what is in God's word . . .

So many times, I have heard

His yoke is easy.  His burden's light.

And we are precious in his sight.



I know our burdens, he will bear

I know he loves us and he cares.

Sometimes, though, it's hard you see

To lay your burdens at his feet!



Today, I've had to seek his face.

I couldn't make it without his grace.

I'll lift my hands and praise his name.

Life is hard but his goodness remains.



From my heart, I'll cry to him

He truly is my dearest friend.

I'll close my eyes safe in his arms

Nothing on earth can do me harm.



If I never wake on Earth again

I'll wake up with my dearest friend.

So no matter what in life I face . . .

I'll fight the fight and win the race.
