God, I’ve fallen short.
Forgive me today
So often, Lord,
It seems when I pray,
A prayer from my mind
And not from my heart . . .
There’s no better time . . .
Today I will start . . .
A prayer from the heart
Where tears flow like rain
That sin would depart
And there’d be no more pain.
That sickness would go
And hearts be revived
That the whole world would know
God’s love in their lives.
Now, on my knees
I ask you today
Mold me and make me
Lord, I am the clay.
Let me touch someone’s life
From my heart, I pray . . .
No more foolish pride . . .
Let the tears flow like again.
So many today
Are lost in despair.
The need us to pray.
They need us to care.
They’re walking in sin
So, let us all pray
That they’ll turn to Him
Before it’s too late.
