I count the number of
Ghostly tides in a sea
Before the dead horizon screams, of
Glorious colors brought from the
Fires I have seen
Waters are cold, such as they travel
Through these times, rushed and afraid
They break and thrash the sand empire
So solid, yet without heart
I have made
The castle crumbles under such a wave
It takes the life I had, takes it below, along
A current, or a whirlpool, somewhere I cannot
Know
I hear you walk from the shore, so silent in the
Sunlight gleam, you take my hand
We swim through the tides, and with beauty and acceptance I’ve
Left the sand
To another side we reach, passed the sunset
You’ve taken me to a new layer, shown me a better shore,
So striking, you say this place came from me but
What are you here for?
You’ve shown me the way, a guide to the inner soul
So I look back to the side we left behind, so distant, a
Stranger, nothing more, and
Then you disappear, float back into my heart
So a new, my own, beautiful empire
I may start
