Shadow of the King

         "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Heh heh," I said as I held the Staff of Moses. "As easy as leading a fly to shit," I added. The thief's body turned to a pile of ash and the wind blew it away.  "The mortal shell, so fragile, and yet, they can be so helpful," I tore a portal open in the ground and walked into it. I dropped into my cavern and saw my body, resting augmenting its power. I jumped onto the mighty mountain of ice encasing the lower half of my body. "As Moses split the Red Sea," I slammed the staff down into the ice. "The avatar of Satan splits his prison," Golden shafts of light pulsed from the Philosopher's Stone through the Staff, shattering the icy prison. I let go of the staff and jumped back to the cavern's ledge. An orange sphere formed at the middle of my imprisoned body's stomach. Then the sphere expanded and then exploded shattering the mountain of ice.
"Yes! Free after all this time!" My behemoth body yelled, echoing to every corner in the cavern. He shot a beam of arching scarlet red energy into me infusing me with all of his power. My body started to change form. My frail white limbs became muscular and brown. I grew to the size of two men. I became what Satan was before his formed was cursed, I became Lucifer.
"My body, my real body, I have it back," I walked over to where my body used to be imprisoned. I looked down to the massive pile of ice and saw the Staff of Moses lying in the rubble. I teleported over to it and then I infused it with my blade making the silver blade twice as long and black as starless space. The golden hilt got slender and long with the Philosopher's Stone at the bottom of the handle morphing from a sphere to a diamond. I laid the sword over my shoulder and waited for Joseph to return.   

Quelling Hell

Satan opened a portal and I jumped in it. When I got threw I ended up in a black marsh with black lifeless trees shaped with the branches shaped into human limbs. I looked down and noticed I was standing on a body lying under the marsh gurgling in the filthy brown water. I tried to get off the bodies, but I stepped on more.
"Knight!" I heard a deep voice call out. I turned to see a demon with the head of a boar and had a fat body with a hole in his stomach. When I got closer to the demon I noticed the hole in its stomach had thousands of sharp teeth in it.
"I am Joseph Vogt, who are you?"
"So you're Hell's Knight. The master has taken a liking to you. I am Beelzebub; I'm here with Asmodeus,"
"Let's end this rebellion quickly," I said.
"So eager. Fine let's go," He replied. When ran across the ground of human bodies yelling under the muck. We came to a clearing where I saw a camp of dog-headed demons.
"Asmodeus!" Beelzebub yelled out. A female figure slithered up to me from out of the pack of demons and held me close to her.
"What do we have here? A mortal in the marshes?" she asked.
"He's hardly a mortal anymore Asmodeus,"
"Oh I've stopped being so picky," She responded snidely.
"Get off of me succubus we have a task from Satan to complete," I commanded.
"You're no fun," She said while a pink red and white veil spun around her. When the veil lifted stood a male demon with feminine features. My stomach started to churn as I held a sword to its neck. "Satan wouldn't like you to kill his Princes," Asmodeus said.
"Stay away from me," I told him. I turned to the demons which were all staring at me with their weapons brandished. I turned to Beelzebub and said, "Let's go," The Princes and I summoned our mounts and we all raced towards the defectors.
         When we arrived at the surprisingly heavily fortified base of Duke Eligos, Beelzebub halted the demons and yelled, "Duke Eligos has amassed a large force against us. Duke Aim and Duke Berith have joined his cause. We were only given a small force so we must attack efficiently. Me and Asmodeus will take ten demons each, Joseph will take the remaining seven. I will attack from the front, Asmodeus from the back and Joseph from above," I trotted over to Asmodeus to my displeasure and asked,
"What is Beelzebub's place in this hierarchy of hell?"
"If Satan is ever put out of commission Beelzebub is the new ruler of Hell," Asmodeus rounded up his demons and yelled, "In the backdoor my warriors,"
"Attack quickly!" Beelzebub yelled.
"To the skies!" I shouted. Flaming wings sprouted from our steeds and we flew above the fort. Then fireballs started to catapult towards us. "Disperse!" I yelled. Me and the warriors avoided the fireballs and shot some of our own at the ramparts. Black demons started to pour out from the gates of the fort and attack Beelzebub's forces. I looked to Asmodeus and his forces were already in. "Form up demons!" I yelled. The demons formed behind me and followed me as we flew up then spearheaded downwards. "Shields up!" I shouted. I put my shield up and the demons followed suit. We crashed through the roof of the fort and were met by hundreds of black demons with the heads of serpents and bodies of man. Behind the huge mob of demons I saw a muscular male demon wearing a gold crown and had human-like features, and had red skin like I did. "Kill them all!" I yelled as I charged at the platoon of demons. I cut the first five I could reach in half with one swipe, then let out a powerful fire breath killing about twenty. Some of my blood red demons charged in with gold lightning dancing on their swords and spears, while some stood in the back shooting dark orange fireballs at the black demons. One of the black demons charged at me wielding two giant swords and swung them at me. I jumped to avoid the attack, then covered myself in a shell of fire, and then slammed into the ground, killing everything in its immediate range. The demon with the crown ran from the back and jumped into the fray singling me out. He summoned a duel bladed sword and attacked me. I was able to summon a shield and block it. I swung my sword downward at his head and he held his sword horizontally parried my attack. As we locked blades I asked, "What is your name?"
"I am Duke Berith, who are you?" he answered in a gravelly voice.
"I am Joseph Vogt," I responded.
"Well Hell's Knight, get ready to die again!" he yelled. He leapt backwards and started to shoot arrows that looked like they were made of blood at me. I dodged the first barrage. He shot another barrage of blood arrows at me when I tried to dodge them this time one of the black demons held me so I couldn't move. I covered myself in fire and exploded it outward killing the demon and a few others. I jumped out of the way as quickly as I could, but some of the arrows hit my leg. I rolled and then popped up cutting the heads off of some the black demons. Berith charged at me spinning his sword over head. I planted my wounded leg firmly into the ground and then a blood red aura covered my body. When he got in range I slashed my sword upwards only to meet with his again, but this time I cut it in half and my sword almost hit his head. He again flew backwards turning his broken sword into two swords then dual wielding them. He shot a barrage of blood arrows at me as one of the black demons was charging at me from the side.
One of my demons shot a fireball at a black demon, killing it and I was picked up its black body ignited the demon's corpse in blood red flame and catapulted it at Berith. Then I flew directly behind the burning demon's corpse using it to conceal my attack. Berith swatted the flaming demon's corpse out of the way, when he saw me he tried to get out of the way, but I was able to pierce his chest before he could avoid the attack. His silver blood poured out as I took my blade out of him. I felt a dark force enter my body and empower it. My eyes gleamed bright red and I swung my sword letting out a wave of scarlet red fire killing more than thirty black demons. I looked behind me and none of my seven demons were killed. "Let's help Beel-" before I could finish my sentence he crashed through a wall into the room.
"We have to help Asmodeus! He's fighting two of the Dukes!" We ran to the back of the fort and our seventeen warriors followed. He looked down at Berith's corpse. "Your handy work I assume?" he asked.
"Yes," I said. He looked down at my leg and noticed it was injured.
"Are you going to be able to fight like that?"
"It's only a flesh wound," I responded. When we arrived, Asmodeus was fighting off the two Dukes and all of the demons on both sides were dead.
"Stand down minions, give your powers to me and the Knight," Beelzebub commanded. The demons laid down their weapons and slammed their fist together and turned into red and black balls of energy then went into our bodies. The power I got wasn't as substantial as I stole from the Duke, but was still immense. "It will only last a while so use it wisely," I nodded my head and we jumped into battle. I kicked one of the Dukes off of Asmodeus and Beelzebub tackled one through a wall.
"Duke Astaroth! Now!" the three headed demon shouted.
"As you wish Aim," a booming voice called out. An explosion of noise came from outside of the castle. Duke Aim was tall, his shoulders broad, and had three heads; the head of a snake on the left a male's head in the middle and a head of a jaguar on the right. He had body of a man armoured in gold plate armour. With all three heads talking in unison he said,
"I am Duke Aim, and it will be a pleasure to kill you both," Asmodeus transformed his body into a hulking muscular demon and charged at Aim. He yelled out,
"Go help Beelzebub!" I ran out of the hole in the wall and Beelzebub was fighting off two of the Dukes, one had the body of a man with no skin, covered in a blue opaque energy wielding a sword doused in blue flame mounted on a white winged horse with a lizards tail and flaming hooves and the other was a naked man with a flaming skull as a head, wings of an eagle and a long lion's tail wilding a staff shaped like a serpent riding a black creature with body of a dragon and a head of a lion. Beelzebub was mounted on a red dragon and wilding a giant black spiked two-handed mace.
"Astaroth, you get Beelzebub, I'll get the Knight" the skeleton demon yelled. "
So you must be Eligos," I said. I summoned my flaming horse, and rode skywards to fight him.
When we clashed in midair my horse started to breathe fire at his steed. He flew backwards then he started to charge a blue fireball in his hand and his horse gathered blue fire in its mouth. He shot the fireball then charged at me. Faster than I could blink my eyes his horse was already in my face breathing a cone of blue fire. I was able to put a shield up and deflect most of the attack away from me and my horse. I flew downward and he gave chase. I turned and shot a fireball at him, but he swatted it away with his sword. I looked over to Duke Astaroth was shooting red lightning at Beelzebub. I stopped suddenly, propelling myself at Eligos, and was able to sever his steed's head. He swung his sword at me, but I blocked it so he turned and plunged his sword into my horse. I flung my sword at him, but he put a shield around his entire body and blocked it. I summoned my sword back and we both started plummeting towards the ground. Astaroth flew under Eligos catching him and Beelzebub did the same for me. Beelzebub said,
"You humans are insane,"
"It was all I could think of," I retorted.
"Exactly," He snapped back. I stood on the dragon's back and started to throw fireballs at Eligos and Astaroth. Astaroth put up a shield and switched places with Eligos. I ignited my blade with blood red flames as Astaroth held his staff up and gathered red lightning at its tip. Astaroth unleashed his attack at the same time I launched mine. It collided in the air making an explosion of red lightning and flames. We flew under the explosion and the Dukes flew over it. Beelzebub turned around then flew through the smoke and was able to ram into them. Eligos shot a blue energy ball at us and Beelzebub grabbed it with one hand and threw it behind us.
"Get us close to him Beelzebub!" I yelled out. Astaroth unleashed another lightning attack and Eligos shot another energy ball at us, but Beelzebub dodged it, and spiralled towards them. When we were close enough, I tried to jump on the Dukes' mount, but I missed so I slashed downward slicing Astaroth's weapon in half then while I was falling I threw my sword at that back of Astaroth's head, when it struck flames and blood spewed out. As I summoned my sword back Duke Eligos turned and kicked Astaroth's corpse off and it exploded in midair. Beelzebub caught me again and said,
"Like I said, insane,"
"Shut up, we still have one more!" I yelled back as Eligos was right on our back.
"Take the reins Knight!" Beelzebub yelled out. He then leapt from the dragon and slammed the black beast in the head then I jumped off the dragon then sliced Eligos in half as he fell with the mount. Beelzebub whistled for his dragon and it swiftly came to save him then he flew under me and grabbed me.
"Luckily, we're all insane in Hell" Beelzebub said.
As we landed I saw Asmodeus kick Duke Aim out of the fort. As Aim tried to crawl away Asmodeus grabbed him and tore him in half. I hopped off of the dragon and walked up to Eligos and cut his head off. Then all of the suddenly a jolt of energy shot through my entire body and my vision went black.
"Knight, wake up, Asmodeus practices necrophilia," Beelzebub said. I jumped up and summoned my sword then I asked,
"What happened?"
"You must have absorbed too much energy," Beelzebub answered.
"I feel different," I looked at my hands and they were as black the night sky. "Well that's new" I said aloud.
"Go back to the master," Beelzebub said. He tore open a portal on the ground. I picked up the head of Duke Eligos and jumped into the portal.
The Agents of Apocalypse

"My lords. Barael sends us word from the Underworld!" the messenger said frantically.
"Hand it over," I said while extending my golden, armour clad arm.
         Horsemen of Apocalypse, your help is needed. Satan is getting ready to mount his final attack on Underworld and will surely obtain the Nether. I know you're not supposed to act without a Forth, but I might have one. Death. Come as quickly as possible.
"Hmm," I said to myself. "Horsemen Assemble!" I yelled out.
"Pestilence, ready to ride master," Said the Horsemen of Pestilence covered in dingy off-white wrappings from head to toe with millions of locus flying around his entire being carrying a staff with a skull of a demon affixed to it.
"Famine, ready to ride," Said the Horsemen of Famine with his black hollowed out eye sockets and his emaciated pink decaying body wielding a staff with four still writhing tongues attached to it.
"And I the Horsemen of Time am ready to ride," I said to out loud lifting my silver sword into the air.
I teleported us into the High Councilmen's black room, the tall white podiums arched around us. I looked to the cloud of light purple, white, and blue cosmic energy floating atop the podium I then said,
"My masters. Barael has comiss-," High Councilman Eradin interrupted,
"We know of Barael's request and we are debating whether or not you should help; especially if The Reaper is going to be the Fourth,"
"We must act quickly! You know as well as I do what will happen if Lucifer is able to use the Nether," I yelled
"You seem to forget your job and your place in this Order!" Eradin stated.
"It is the Horsemen's job to curtail the Rapture, not prevent it," High Councilman Joines stated calmly.
"You don't see what I see. If Lucifer gets his way the Rapture won't take place, only a slaughter of the human race," I pleaded.
"The Horseman of Time is right," Overseer Eniboron said breaking his silence. "Lucifer made a deal with God on the day Jesus was born-," High Councilwomen Cassandra interrupted Eniboron,
"Yes we know of the Rapture, and how it will happen two thousand years after the death of God's first child, it's the reason we exists,"
"When the Rapture begins, Lucifer will most likely mount his final assault on Heaven," Eniboron explained.
"Attack Heaven?" Joines asked. "My lord, Satan has been attacking Heaven for thirteen hundred years and has made no headway, and neither God nor Jesus has fought yet," He added.
"God is weakened from siphoning his power to contain the Alpha Nether; Jesus has been prepping for the battle, because he knows it will happen," Eniboron said.
"Since there is no way of stopping it, why should we help Barael?" Eradin asked.
"Because if Lucifer is empowered by the Nether, Heaven will be decimated, and defence of the Earth will be in the hands of the humans," Eniboron said. The council seemed to agree with their collective silence.
"But what about this quasi-mortal, Death, becoming the Fourth Horsemen?" Cassandra asked.
"It is indeed a risky move," Eniboron said. "His addiction and subsequent corruption due to black magic is... concerning. But he is fighting for Barael, so begrudgingly or not, he is a powerful ally," He continued.
"If you think it wise Overseer, Ride on Pestilence," Eradin said.
"Ride on Famine," said Cassandra.
"Ride on Time," Said Joines
"Give this to Death," Eniboron said as he threw me a set of pale green reins. "Ride on my Horsemen,"
"To the Underworld Horsemen!" I said, as a raised my sword whilst summoning my golden horse. As the semi transparent horse appeared before constantly moving through time and space, the other Horsemen summoned their steeds. Famine summoned a horse with its bones showing beneath its black pelt. Pestilence summoned a red horse with a mane of green fog. We mounted our horses and I opened a portal to the Underworld. When we arrived we saw Barael in his human form standing next to Death.
"Has it been an eternity already?" Pestilence asked Barael.
"This is only an avatar," Barael responded.
"We have no time to waste," Said Death as he angrily stared at me.
"I suppose not," I said. I tossed him the reins. "Mount up we must sure up our defences," I added. Death caught the reins and a smile flashed onto his face. He held in the air and the green steed appeared in front of him. He jumped on its back and its mane became a dark blue flame. Its pelt became white and its eyes became black as the night sky. "Such a perversion of his power," I said to myself," As Death was staring at me I turned and opened a portal. When went through it we arrived at the Battlefield.

The Last Chapter of the Beginning

When I reached Satan's cavern I noticed the prison was destroyed. "Satan! Where are you?" I yelled. Suddenly a portal opened in the wall and a brown man in gold and blood red armour appeared. The middle of his chest plate was shaped into a roaring horned dragon. Each of his spaulders were shaped into a head of some sort of demon lord with giant fangs protruding from its mouth. His golden greaves gleamed in the scarlet red light the hung from the roof of the cavern. His heavy gold and red plate boots clanked as he walked towards me. He was as tall as house and had a similar smug smile on his face. "Who are you? The master doesn't take kindly to intruders!" I yelled out. 
"Your master? I'm flattered Joseph, or should I call you Hell's Knight?" the man said.
"Satan is that you. How did you release yourself?" I asked in astonishment.
"Yes it is me and I don't want to bore you with the details. Let's say I got a key and I unlocked my prison," He said smiling. "You have changed as well Joseph," He added "You absorbed some of my Duke's power I take it," He said while chuckling.
"Yes," I said throwing Duke Eligos's head at Satan's feet "What is my next task Satan," He started to laugh,
'Hm hm hm. Call me Lucifer, please. And let's stop prattling around, Leviathan is very excited,"
"Whatever you say, Lucifer," I said. He summoned a giant sword with a long gold hilt and a giant black blade with intricate gold writing on it, which he held in one hand. He walked over to me and he placed his hand on my head. I blinked my eyes once and we were teleported in front of the black and twisted Gates of Hell elevated on a giant structure. I glanced to the left and the right and saw Beelzebub and Asmodeus on each of side.
"Ready for round two, big boy?" Asmodeus said while tickling my chin. I swatted his hand away and looked to Lucifer. He had a look I've never seen on his face. He seemed serious.
"LEVIATHAN!" Lucifer shouted. "MARCH TO VICTORY!"     

The First Chapter of the End

The structure we were on started to sway from side to side. I looked in front of me; the "structure" was Leviathan. He raised his scaly green head and neck and let out a loud roar. His pointed ears twitched and he looked back to me and Lucifer. His yellow and black serpent-like eyes sent a chill down my spine. He flashed his pointed blood caked fangs at me then turned and roared again, this time opening a portal in front of him.
         As we slowly stepped forward into the portal and we stepped onto the Battlefield I saw millions of demons. Some were blood red, others were jet black, some had the heads of dogs, and some had the heads of boars, all mounted on dark brown creatures with the heads of dogs, and the bodies of wingless dragons. I looked to the sky and skinny black winged pointy eared demons holding wicked black spears poured out of a portal. The army seemed endless. As Leviathan steadily walked toward the purple dome, I noticed the citadel was bigger than Leviathan and he was bigger than a city! The citadel's shadow loomed over the seeming endless Nether Army. Some were defending the entrance to the citadel and some were on the ramparts. The shadowy warriors were in all black armour and mounted on dark blue shadowy horses which were clad in black armour also. I looked to the sky and there were Nether warriors on the backs of winged black horses. At the very front of the enemy forces were four men on horses, I could only recognize one of them as the Grim Reaper. "The Four Horsemen," Lucifer said to himself. "It looks like we have our work cut out for us," Lucifer raised his sword pointing it at the enemy then yelled, "Charge!" his mighty voice nearly deafened me as he yelled. I jumped from Leviathan's back and summoned a winged fire steed and my weapon in midair. I looked back, as Beelzebub and Asmodeus did the same, with Beelzebub on a black dragon, wielding his giant spiked mace, and Asmodeus on a lavender dragon wearing giant spiked gauntlets. As the horde of demons charged at the dome with hellish intensity, we raced ahead of them reaching the Horsemen first. The Reaper then said,
"Hell's Knight it's been awhile since we last meet,"
"Enough talk Death! It is time for action," Yelled the rag wrapped Horsemen as he raised his demon skull tipped staff. A cloud of black mist shot from his staff, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and I were able to dodge it by flying upward. Then the gold Horsemen moved impossibly fast with him and his horse flying up to us. I unleashed a flurry of blood arrows at him, but he was able dodge it and was able to hit me off of my steed. As I was falling, the Horsemen the rag wrapped Horsemen flew up to me and tried to hit me with black beam, but was able to redirect his attack into my sword. Then the rag wrapped Horsemen continued flying upwards helping the golden Horsemen. I looked down at the Horsemen with rotting flesh underneath me, he held out his black staff, and then he shot an energy ball at me that was barely visible. I put my shield up and the energy ball passed through me. When I landed on the ground I felt light headed, then the Reaper started to charge at me with his scythe over his head. I covered my blade with blood red and dark blue fire then I ran at the Reaper. When he got close enough he swung his scythe, but missed as I jumped over his head I then launched a crescent of fire at him. He quickly moved out of the way and my attack missed hitting the ground and making a red and blue explosion. Concealed in the debris, I was able to calm down. But then, I started to hear the thundering gallop of a horse. I summoned my horse then fly into the air before the Reaper shot a stream of black fire into the cloud of dust. I looked to Asmodeus as he and Beelzebub fought the golden and the ragged wrapped Horsemen. I turned back to the Reaper and the rotting Horsemen and the encircled me, brandishing their weapons. Then Lucifer appeared next to me and said aloud,
"Satan has entered the fray!"
"You... you are free?!" said the rotting Horsemen.
"Yes Famine. I'm here in all of my glory," Lucifer replied smugly. "Leviathan fire!" I turned back to the massive beast and he was charging up an enormous emerald green fireball in his mouth. When he unleashed his attack it roared past us striking the dome and shattering it like glass. "Demons! Double time, let's go!" Lucifer shouted. The demons roared and ran full speed at the citadel.
"Pull back to the citadel!" Yelled the golden Horsemen as he reared his horse, turned and flew towards the citadel as the other Horsemen did the same," Hordes of demons rushed pass us and Leviathan heaved his massive body as fast as it could go. His earth shattering footsteps shook the ground he walked upon. Lucifer teleported on his back and the Princes and I followed. As we neared the citadel the flying demons and flying Nether warriors clashed in the air. The demons on the ground were firing giant yellow and orange fireballs at the walls of the citadel. The shadow creatures were returning fire, shooting violet fireballs at us. I saw Leviathans head rear up and saw green flames spewing from his mouth. With a mighty roar he launched another fireball at the citadel, and then the Reaper flew in on his horse and stopped the fireball before it could reach the citadel and threw it back at us. Lucifer teleported in front of Leviathan and did the same, but the fireball turned into a green wisp that encircled his arm. Lucifer then let lose a powerful stream of black and green fire wiping out half of the shadow creatures guarding the citadels gates. "Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Joseph! You go kill the Horsemen! Leviathan and I will lead this assault," We summoned our mounts and weapons and charged at the ramparts, dodging the thousands of fireballs being fired at us. I put a shield of fire around me then when I got close enough slammed down on the ramparts sending the Nether creatures flying off the walls. When I dismounted and started to fight the Nether warriors and the Princes landed and did the same. Asmodeus turned into the hulking giant again and started to literally crush the Nether warriors with his spiked fist weapons. Beelzebub was swinging his mace taking out three or four enemies at once. As I slashed the head off of a Nether warrior, and then The Four Horsemen landed in front of us.
"Time, I say have our fun with these people," The rag covered Horsemen said to the golden horsemen.
"Fine Pestilence, you, Famine and I will fight these clowns. Death, you go warn Barael that Lucifer is free," The Horsemen of Time said to the rag wrapped Horsemen. The Reaper nodded and raced away. Beelzebub and Asmodeus made their way slowly over to me, then Asmodeus said,
"This might not end up well," The Horsemen got of their horses and took their weapons out. The rotting one Famine took out a staff with three tongues attached to the top of it. The rag wrapped one Pestilence took out a staff with the bleached skull of a Demon affixed to the top, and the golden one Time took out a short silver sword with an intricate gold hilt.
"Why? It's three-on-three is fair fight," I said.
"You'll find out soon," said Asmodeus. I jumped at Time and slashed my sword at him, but before I could hit him he teleported behind me. He raised his sword, but Asmodeus tackled him while Beelzebub started to attack Famine. I turned to Pestilence as hundreds of black bugs swarmed around the skull on his staff. I summoned my shield, and then Pestilence shot a stream of black bugs at me I charged at it then sidestepped it at the last moment swung my sword at him ,but he did a front flip over my head and shot red stream of gas at me while still in the air. When he landed I turned, but I started to feel weaker, my vision started to blur as Pestilence charged up a black swarm. He shot the attack at me, I tried to move, but the attack was able to hit me. I fell to the ground. I heard him running towards me so I threw my sword at him, as he jumped out of the way I used the blood arrow technique I stole from Duke Berith and as he put up a shield I got up quickly then charged at him while I summoned my sword. He dropped his shield and evaded my initial attack, but as he was jumping backwards I let out a breath of light-blue, blood red, and black flames hitting him directly. He landed on the floor rolled then popped up quickly. I started to pant heavily,
"Those attacks took a lot out of me," I thought to myself. As Pestilence charged a black beam I turned and saw Leviathan was hitting the citadel repeatedly with fireballs rocking the entire citadel. Time was moving and attacking faster than anything I've seen before. Asmodeus then transformed into a tall slinky male and the fist weapons he had became slender, like daggers. Then he was moving as fast as Time. Famine was dodging all of Beelzebub's attacks and shooting grey orbs of energy at Beelzebub. The mouth on Beelzebub's stomach opened wide and hundreds of tongues shot forth from it grabbing Famine. Then Beelzebub started to wail on Famine. Famine then opened his mouth making his bottom jaw nearly at his waist a black fog came out, Beelzebub's tongues released Famine, and Beelzebub jumped back avoiding the attack. I turned to Pestilence as he shot a black beam at me so I put up a shield. When the beam hit the shield the beam split in half then I saw Pestilence pulling his staff towards him making the beam hit me from the back. It felt like millions of thorns stabbing me at once. I got up and I felt weaker again like some disease was sapping my life. He charged up a gold sphere atop his staff and then shot it at me. I deflected it with my sword then shot a barrage of blood arrows at him. He dodged some of them then let out another black beam. I jumped in the air and the stream followed me. I let out a breath of fire that collided with the beam and destroyed it. I ignited my sword with blood red flame and threw it at him with all my might. He moved, but the explosion it caused hit him. When I landed I summoned my sword and heard Lucifer yell,
"Move!" I turned and saw him and Leviathan charging up giant fireballs. I yelled to Beelzebub and Asmodeus,
"Run!" They turned and saw Lucifer and Leviathan and mounted up. I followed their actions and so did the Horsemen.
The Princes and I formed up with Beelzebub in the front. The demons and the nether creatures were still fighting in the air stabbing ripping and clawing each other out of the sky. I looked down and the Horsemen busted out of the thick cloud of debris and came straight for us. We all turned around and started to joust toward the Horsemen. When we clashed I was able to slash at Famine making him break away from the other horsemen. Then I heard Asmodeus yell,
"Beelzebub!" I turned and saw Time had bored his sword into Beelzebub's chest. Time threw Beelzebub off of his sword. As Beelzebub's lifeless body fell, Asmodeus jumped from his mount to Pestilence's mount then Asmodeus stabbed Pestilence about twenty times before Asmodeus threw Pestilence off of the horse. Pestilence was severally injured, but not dead. Asmodeus' dragon flew under him as Pestilence summoned his mount to take him away. As Asmodeus flew next to me getting ready to charge at the Horseman of Time I shouted,
"Calm down Asmodeus, we need to think clearly to defeat him!"
"That bastard killed my brother I will not calm down!" said Asmodeus as he charged at Time. Time readied his sword still dripping with the silver blood of Beelzebub, then Asmodeus pulled his mount up then jumped at the last second making it crash into Time. He then corkscrewed into the mangled mess ripping through both of the mounts. Time was able teleport away and started to fall to the ground. I tried to swoop in and attack him, but he summoned his mount and flew away before I could even blink twice. Then Time teleported over to Asmodeus as he was falling, and then cleaved Asmodeus in half. I cringed at the sight and looked away. When I opened my eyes I saw Lucifer right beside me. He held out his hand and wisp of energy came from the bodies of the dead Princes. He then placed his hand on my head and transferred their powers to me. He then said,
"I actually liked those two. I will take care of him. You go get your family,"
I looked down and Leviathan was climbing on the citadel decimating it while the demon army poured into the Gateway to the Underworld. As I flew into the Gateway I looked back at Lucifer staring down the Horsemen of Time.

Power of the King

"Lucifer, your time is up!" shouted the Horsemen of Time.
I summoned my blade and yelled back, "You call me Satan," I told him. He charged at me and I was easily able to stop his attack with one hand. "Or 'Your Majesty'," I swung my blade at him, but I only scathed his arm. I sensed the two other Horsemen behind me so I turned and conjured a giant fireball and shot it at them, then I flew towards Time and as he tried to dodge my attack I stabbed him in the arm. He teleported away from me then healed his self. "I wonder if you can do that without a head?" I asked.
"You're no Lord, you're a monster," Said Time.
"Oh, I am indeed a Lord. The Lord that was offered the grace of God, and allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and said no, I am Lucifer 'The Lord of Darkness'!" he teleported behind me and grouped up with Famine and Pestilence. All three charged at me and I made a shield of golden fire around me. When they got close I unleashed it and they were sent in all different directions.
Time summoned them all next to him then said foolishly, "Why do betray your kin"
"Like I said to God before he banished me, 'Better to rein in Hell then serve in Heaven'," I conjured three black fireballs in the palm of my hand, and then I shot them at the Three Horsemen. They made a single shield around themselves, but the attack penetrated the shield and exploded into a glorious black flame. Weakened they made a portal and retreated. I landed near the gateway and then used my power to expand it, so Leviathan and more of my army can get into the Underworld.

On Death's Door

         As I raced through the Gateway I looked back and saw the huge green wingless dragon destroying the Citadel. When I got through I saw the Nether Warriors getting ready to defend if the outer defences failed. I flew pass the abandoned city of the Underworld and over Barael's castle. Behind the castle I saw a winding path leading to a giant white box-like building with golden boarders on the walls near the floor and the ceiling. I landed near the white gold door, dismounted, and then walked up the stairs which had white columns on either side holding up the white ceiling. I pulled the golden handles on the door then walked into the House of the Nether
         Inside, the entire room was flashing dark green and black. I saw the Nether in the middle of the room inside of a giant cavern. The endlessly spinning Nether was emanating such a beautiful dark energy. I walked over to it and the tornado-like force of the Nether started to make my robe fluttered fiercely. I looked and Barael was floating in the middle of it with green, black, and purple bands of energy zipping around him like a swarm of locus. "Barael! Lucifer! He is free!" I yelled over the roar of the Nether. He opened his piercing red eyes then flew over to me.
"That's impossible," Barael said to himself quietly. "You hold off anybody that tries to come in The Underworld. Go now!" he turned to the Nether and shot a black beam into it. I opened a portal to the castle's courtyard and with the thousands of Nether Warriors, waited for the demon horde.
         

If You Stare Into the Void

I went through the Gateway and was met with thousands of demons fighting even more Nether creatures. I flew over the fray, determined to get to the Nether. Some of the Nether creatures saw me and started to shoot fireballs at me. I was able to dodge most of them and managed to block the rest. Then, I saw the Reaper in a castle's courtyard. He flew up at me as fast as the winds and slashed his scythe at me. I flew downwards and my winged steed and I used our fire breath on him. He made a bubble shield surrounding him. I flew up to him and swung my sword at it. The attack was able to crack it, but the Reaper flew away before the sword hit him. I conjured a black and sky blue fireball and shot it at the Reaper. He swung his scythe at the fireball slicing it in causing it to explode. When he was still recovering from the explosion, I charged at him, but then he opened a portal with his scythe and jumped inside of it. His horse disappeared in a cloud of purple dust. Suddenly he appeared beneath my horse and cut its head off. I was able to jump off and in midair I shot a flurry of blood arrows at him, but he deflected them all. I plummeted towards the ground and the Reaper flew circles around me while he shot hundreds of fireballs at me in rapid succession. He then charged up black lightning at the tip of his scythe and I charged blood red lightning in the palm of my hand. We both fired it at the same time and they clashed, sparking vigorously, arching in all directions. The Reaper was able to overcome my lightning bolt with his and sent both attacks flying towards me. I put my shield up and as the lightning bolts skittered across it, I slammed into the ground. I jumped out of the crater I made and the second I saw the Reaper I ignited my sword and threw it at him. He jumped sidestepped and it only impaled a building behind him. I then heard a booming sound behind me. I turned and it was Leviathan crashing through the Gateway. I summoned my sword and charged at the Reaper. I swung my sword downwards at his head, but he was able to block it, so then I unleashed my fire breath, but he backed away. I started to channel my energy into my sword and it started to morph. The blade got longer and the colors turned from the oranges, yellows and reds to sheer black with the runes now in silver. Black and blood red lightning started to spark from the blade and the hilt became longer and a sharp point formed at the end. I held the sword in both of my hands then charged the Reaper, I felt faster. The reaper didn't have time to react and so he blocked the sword with his arm, only this time it wasn't severed.
With him still holding the sword with his forearm he said, "What is your problem with my limbs?" he flung me off of his arm, and then conjured a fireball in his hand then slammed the ground with it sending a wave of black fire all around him. It hit me and I flew back, but quickly jumped up. The Reaper flew at me, so I grounded myself and got ready for his attack. When he got close I let out a powerful breath of silver and black fire, he dodged it, but he slowed enough for me to fire a lightning bolt at him. When it hit him he crashed and rolled on the ground. As he tried to get back up I jumped covering myself in flames and stomped on his back. I heard Leviathan roar, so I turned back and saw him letting lose a flurry of small jade green fireballs at the Nether Warriors. I summoned my steed and left the Reaper behind. Behind the castle was a huge white square building. I flew over to it and kicked the door in. There was standing a shadowy human shooting a beam into the swirling Nether. He turned around and his glaring red eyes seemed too looked through my damned soul.
"Are you Barael?" I asked.
"Yes...I am. And you must be the person responsible for all of this," He said as his body grew like a black fire.
"I want to free my family from the Nether!" I told him. "Do not condemn them for my actions!" I pleaded. Then he stood there looking at me, his eyes seemed to have sympathy.
"I'm sorry, but you have done too much," He lifted his hand and shot a boulder-sized ball of fire at me that roared and cracked through the room faster than I could blink. When it hit me I flew back outside and landed on the stairway. As I started to get up Barael was already charging up another fireball. Then, Lucifer teleported behind me, then he shot a blood red fireball at Barael's. When they collided a black and red explosion ripped through the room
"I can't lose all my lackeys in one day," Lucifer said to Barael.
"It seems you have freed yourself," Barael said disappointedly.
"You know I'm stronger than you," Lucifer exclaimed.
"You're a proud fool Lucifer," Barael said as he turned his arms into blades,"
"Proud... maybe, possibly even hubristic, but I'm no fool," Lucifer said as he summoned his sword. He then charged at Barael and they began to fight. I picked myself from off of the floor and while the Lords were busy I made my way to the Nether. I turned to look to the Lords fighting and it was unbelievable. They were moving so fast, I could hardly see who was who. They stopped in midair for a brief moment and both used a fire breath attack. Lucifer's flames were orange and blood red and Barael's flames were black and violet purple. When the two attacks hit each other it spun into a sphere in the middle of the room. Barael stretched his arms and grabbed the black and orange fireball and flung it at Lucifer. Lucifer teleported behind Barael and the fireball destroyed half of the ceiling. As the ceiling started to collapse I finally reached the Nether.
I stared into the green and black Nether. The semi transparent green souls of the damned screamed and howled in agony. Some made it to the top only to be held back by an unseen force. "Once more into the breach," I said to myself as I jumped over the gates and into the Nether. 
"No you dammed mortal fool!" Yelled Barael yelled as I fell into the Nether. 

The Void Stares Back

As I fell through the Nether it felt as if I was being bombarded with stones as the souls swarmed around me in this seemingly endless abyss. My armour started to rip apart as my body started to change. Bone protruded from my skull forming horns. Flesh started to tear from my back which formed wings. I stopped myself from falling then yelled out,
"Elizabeth!" All I heard were the hundreds of thousands of screams of the tortured souls. I flew around shouting my wife's name. Every second I spent in there corrupted me more and more. I started to feel that this was pointless. Everything. Heaven, Hell, the Underworld, even my wife and children, nothing mattered anymore.
Then I heard someone call out, "Joseph!" then two more voices cried out,
"Father!" I flew as fast as I could, pushing and punching anything that got in my way. When I reached them, they were horrified at what I have become.
"You're not Joseph! What are you?" Elizabeth yelled out. "Get away from us!"
"I'm only an escort. Please come with me," I pleaded. She nodded her head and held Jacob and Frederick. I held my wife for the very last time. As I flew up to leave the Nether I put up a shield around my family. The souls ripped at my back and corrupted me even more, I felt my teeth getting pointed and my eyes started to burn. When I got out of the Nether I let them go and they started to drift upwards. The building was almost crumbled to nothing with only the walls remaining. I looked to the Lucifer who had blood reds wings ripping out of his back and the eye's of a snake. I saw the Reaper picking himself up. I rushed over to him and summoned my sword.
"What the hell happened to you?" the Reaper said in disgust.
"Everything," I responded.
