Hells Trinity: Hell vs The Underworld pt1 The Story of the Lords, Hells Knight, and Death
The Birth of Death

One day, a man cloaked in pure white hooded robes was practicing black magic. This man lived on an island in Japan atop a mountain overlooking a village. He found a way to make himself immortal, but the villagers below could feel a great darkness coming from his home. When the villagers came into the man's house, black fire and dark purple bands of energy surrounded his body. The villagers tried kill him, but the villagers only half succeeded, they interrupted his spell, but the black fire of the spell engulfed the man's body and the bodies' of the villagers. The man became immortal, but his body became nothing but skeleton, his glorious white robes became black as the farthest reaches of space. He was furious. He had accomplished what he had been working for, but now he could not walk the earth as he intended. He frantically rummaged through his books, looking for a way to rectify this horrible mistake. One of the books read,

"In the lands of morbid nether, lies an ancient, but cording tether. The Tether of Life ends all human strife wearing a disguise as a scythe"

After the thing read this; he looked for more books for information about the Tether of Life. He tore through book after book until he found a book titled "Underworld". Within it he found a great deal about the Tether of Life. It was located in the Underworld guarded by The Nether Guardian, and most importantly, how to get there. He picked himself up and stretched his lanky bleached white bone arms over his skull, pulling his now black hood over back empty sockets that used to be his eyes. He chanted from the book "Swonk ydobon, tuo emoc uoy erehw. Og lliw uoy rehten eht otni," Then a black swirling vortex with dark blue streams dancing within it opened up beneath his feet. He slowly sank into the vortex, as if he were a hapless animals being devouring by tar pits. After being pulled though the vortex the skeleton man saw something, something glorious. It was a city with violet-purple Gothic-styled buildings. Black spikes were protruding from the roofs. The skeleton looked to the ground and saw it venting a vile green gas. As he started to walk he could feel the stares of the denizens on the back of his boney neck. He looked to one of the creatures inhabiting the city. He looked him up and down noticing the bipedal monster skin was a putrid green and had seven, pitch black eyes arched around its face. Its mouth, which ran horizontally, was filled with fangs. The monster stood taller than the skeleton even though it was hunched over. The skeleton walked up to the monster meeting with only two of its eyes and said. "The Tether of Life," The monster seemed to be startled by the skeleton man's statement and signalled for him to follow it. When the monster stopped walking it put its hand on the skeleton man's back and gave him a slight shove. The monster then pointed at a large castle with giant walls coming from behind it in a "V" shape adorned with black spikes twisting in a chaotic fashion, with guards vigorously patrolling the area. He then looked at the monster then at his own hand. Then, he conjured a violet orb of flames in the palm of his hand. He looked to the monster once more, and then threw the orb of flames at the monster, reducing it to nothing but ash. He took a few steps back and ran then jumped into the air. On the grey ramparts stood faceless guards, which were conjuring black fireballs in their hands aiming them at the skeleton man. When they fired the fireballs at him, he summoned a transparent shield with a slight dark blue tint. The fireballs cascaded over his shield and diminished to nothing. He landed on the ramparts then conjured violet fireballs in each of his hands, and then fired them at the guards. He ran into a stairwell and raced down it, keeping violet fireballs ignited in each hand simultaneously. When he reached the ground level floor, he intensified the power of the violet fireballs and ran out into the corridor. When he did, he was confronted by hundreds of guards all wielding black fireballs, and wearing black pointed helmets, black plate legs, black plate bodies with spikes coming out where the shoulders were. Knowing full well of the futility of his attack, he threw his violet fireball anyway. But, the fireball, instead of going to where he threw it, seemed to be sucked up and over the heads of the guards which were now extinguishing their fireballs. The looming object started to walk towards him, towering over the guards which were opening up a path and kneeling before the beast that seemed to be made of shadow. The huge entity walked over to him and said, "The strife of humans is life..," he looked me up and down, "Which you have tried to cheat," He held out a scythe with a black handle and a gleaming silver blade so sharp it seemed to cut the skeleton man by just being near it. "This is the Tether of Life. The ancient and corroding tether is the pitiful human lifespan. This tool was made to cut the tether and send their souls to Heaven, or to the Nether.
"Where am I?" he asked, getting increasingly irritated.
The Underworld," the shadowy creature replied "Home of the Nether," he added.
"What is this Nether?" he asked.
"Hmmm. To answer that, I'll have to tell you my history, and the history of my peoples. Before there was anything, even God, there was nothingness. The universe as you now know it was only an endless white void. Then God was born. His birth was so magnificent it created the entire universe and the very first Nether, the Alpha Nether. God, not knowing how much power the Nether needed to be contained, created the Kingdom of Heaven, and then created an avatar of himself with a majority of his powers in it. He left his real body behind with minimal power to contain the Nether, and then flew among the cosmos to see if he was the only one of his kind. For millennia, he was, until the twin birth of Lucifer and me, Barael. When we came into existence The Omega Nether was created in the middle of Lucifer's molten world Hell. Seconds after we were born, monsters poured from the Omega Nether. With no weapons Lucifer and I retreated. Then God came before us. He seemed to look past us, looking at the monsters bleeding out of the Nether. He then summoned a giant silver sword gleaming in the darkness like a star. Lucifer and I did the same and followed him. Over thousands of years, we slew millions of Nether Beasts, before they were finally pushed back to the Nether, God warned us not to get close to the Nether because he had sensed a great evil coming from it. I heeded his warning, but Lucifer did not. He stared into the void and seemed fixated on something inside of it. I raced towards him and pulled him back, but the damage was done, but we didn't know it yet. After that God tasked me to go inside Hell the Nether and Lucifer was tasked to guard me and the Nether, and later on act as a warden to the evil souls of the humans God would later create. God and Lucifer would always argue about how they should be controlled. Lucifer even went so far as to corrupt Eden, as a test to prove the human's foolishness. But, God was adamant, saying that 'If we have to take away human's freewill then there is no reason from them to exist.' Lucifer, already corrupted by the Nether got increasingly angry at God's decisions and plotted against him. I was in my own world. I fell in love with a human woman by the name of Eva. I shirked my duties to be with her. When God found out, that I was not only ignoring the Nether, I also sired a child, he got furious. I pleaded with him to spare their lives and only punish me," The beast's red piercing eyes gleamed as the skeleton man interrupted and asked,
"Why should you having a child be such an issue?"
"The members of the Lord race are the most powerful entities in existence. Our children and our children's children will be endowed with a portion of our power. And admittedly, humans should not have that kind of power. God made it so that I was to never see my child or my lover ever again, living or otherwise. I was cursed to stay in the Underworld for an eternity. Lucifer saw this as a potential way to help in his rebellion against God. He asked me to join him and he would make sure I would be able to see my family again. Foolishly, I agreed and let him use the Nether to summon an army and bolster his power. We waged a war against Heaven. I never saw so much bloodshed. Lucifer's pure silver sword was tainted and turned black and red. I looked to my family from the heavens and overheard Eva telling my son stories of my heroism, humility, and kindness. My son said 'I want to grow to be as great as him'. I knew then that what I was doing was wrong. Lucifer was about to destroy God's avatar with a beam of pure Nether, but then I leapt in the way of the black and violet beam. It showered over my entire body; I stumbled to get back up, then ran to the astonished Lucifer and slashed his chest. He did not die, but was weakened and lost control of the Nether Beast. God imprisoned Lucifer inside of the lowest level of Hell cursing his form and encasing him in ice. My form was damaged. I turned into this," The beast motioned at his own body. "My peach skin, and blond hair turned shadowy black, my eyes turned blood red. Fangs replaced my teeth. God realizing this was my fault didn't restore my form, but grateful that I sacrificed my wellbeing for his, didn't punish me further and let me return to my duties containing the Nether. God is now siphoning the power from his avatar to his real form when he noticed the Alpha Nether needed more attention. Lucifer, or Satan, as some people call him now, has been waging a two pronged war against the Underworld and Heaven. Now, God cannot leave Heaven to stop the Alpha Nether, because if he does Satan will be able to take over Heaven. That is why you are here. You are also cursed by the Nether, bound to my will. You will be given the scythe so I can maintain the Nether. You will be my weapon, leading my Nether Warriors in defence against Satan's Legion,"

"What happened to your original blade?" the bone man asked
"I split it in half. One half was made into a weapon for my lineage to help if the Kingdom of Heaven falls. The other half is the blade of this scythe. Now go!" Realizing the Nether Guardian had unbelievable power the skeleton decided he would wait until he mastered his powers to try before fighting Barael. That "man" was me, but I'm no longer a man! I am the Grim Reaper! The ultimate weapon of the Underworld, and future ruler of all darkness!

Hell's Knight

It all began that hellish night. I came back for slaughtering hundreds in the name of God. I had finally arrived in Oldenburg, my home town. Even there, people were celebrating the conquest of Jerusalem. "Glory to King Frederick!" they chanted as if he fought the war. I arrived in front of my house, but there was something wrong. None of my children were clasping to my legs, my wife wasn't standing at the door, with her blue eyes swelled with tears. The candles remained unlit, yet the sun already sank into the horizon. I ran into my home with sword and shield at hand, only to see my wife naked with her throat slit and my two sons with no heads. A rage filled every limb of my body. I heard the shuffling of plate armour behind me. I turned and saw two knights smiling, with blood dripping from their blades. "Your wife and sons are fighters.  Our duke almost didn't have his way with Elizabeth," The knight said. My face grew red as the devil's inferno. My heart started to race and it felt as it was trying to punch its way out. I let out a loud yell and then charged at the knights and swung my sword fiercely hitting one in the neck. As the fell two the ground, his head still hanging by the skin the other tried to slash me. I blocked it and stabbed him through the chest, lifting him off the ground. I retracted my sword and his body landed on the ground. I looked to the Dukes castle and my vision turned black. Then my innards felt like were being seared. A blood red haze swept across my eyes. I gripped my sword's handle tightly and the blade burst into flames. I yelled an agonizing yawl. My voice sounded as if all the damned souls were yelling with me. I started run to the Duke's castle. Before I could get there, knights with black, silver, and gold armour bearing the Holy Roman insignia on their breastplates, mounted on horses were heading in my direction. I stared at the twin headed black eagle, remembering all I gave for the Empire. One of the knights glanced at me and then charged at me. The horse thundered towards me, sounding like the drums of war and shaking the ground as they got closer.  When the knight got close enough I threw down my shield then swung my flaming sword upwards slicing the horse's head off also cutting the knight in half, turning their remains into dark grey ash. Blood splattered onto my armour then the ash followed. The other knights sat upon their horses, mouths agape. They dismounted their horses and ran towards me. I did the same, yelling to the heavens. My heavy armour clanked and shuffled, my metal boots stomped the ground leaving a trail of black fire. When the knights got into range I leapt over their heads, and landed behind them. I spun around while swinging my sword cleaving both of them in two. Blood and ash covered even more of my body, my sword caked with their burnt black blood. I climbed on one of the knights' horses. Black flames started to engulf the horse making it rear up on its hind legs. When the horse went back on all four legs it still was alive even though it was burning. I looked at its head and its eyes were red. I squeezed my calves twice, and the horse started to gallop towards the Duke's castle. As I sped through the town, onlookers saw me from their homes and screamed in terror. When I reached the Duke's castle I saw he had many knights standing atop the steps waiting for me.
A voice roared in my head, vibrating my skull telling me, "Kill them! KILL THEM ALL!" I got off the horse, and then held my sword to the sky. The horse turned into a grey wisp of fire and it flew into my blade. I charged at the knights as they did the same. I slashed the heads off the two leading the charge. I swung my sword down, cutting a third knight in half, and then swung it upwards, slicing another through his shield and his chest. Blood and ash carpeted the stairs. The rest of the knights stepped back, slowly going up the stairs. Then one jumped towards me holding his shield in front of him and held his sword behind his head trying to stab me. I held out my empty left hand, and when the knight tried to lunge his weapon at me, a circular red shield with black streams spiralling towards the middle appeared, deflecting the attack. I pushed my shield away from me, flinging the knight down the stairs. The last remaining knight dropped his sword and shield as I walked closer to him. I impaled his chest then struck him with my shield. I walked into the Duke's castle and he and his lady were sitting on their thrones bound by bands of red smoke. I walked up to them and then as the Lady screamed for her life, I stabbed her through the head. When I reached for the Duke the rings of red smoke faded. I picked up the Duke and threw him to the ground. The fire from my sword started to diminish, and then finally vanished. The blood red haze lifted from my eyes, as I walked closer to the Duke."You have taken the only thing I care about," I said, my voice trembling with anger.

"I... I'm sorry! I... I was weak, please I will give you anything, money, women, land, anything!" The cowardly Duke said frantically trying to save his sorry life.

"Anything? Good, because I want your life!" I then stabbed him repeatedly. His screams filled me with such pleasure, it was almost orgasmic. Blood spurted from his wounds, each time I stabbed him. As he trembled carpeted in his own blood, I cut of his head and then yelled with beastly pride. Then I felt two painful jolts in my chest. I lifted me head and saw two archers. I looked at my sword, grabbed it with both of my hands, and then stabbed it into the floor. Two more arrows hit my chest; I fell to a knee, as blood poured from my wounds. I said a prayer. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen," Then I all saw was an arrow racing towards my head. I opened my eyes and saw pure blackness. No light at all. I turned to look to the sky, but there was no sky, only black rock cracked with flames. Then a gust of biting cold pierced my skin and chilled my bone.

"Ha ha ha," a loud booming voice, arrogantly laughed. It echoed all around the seemingly endless cavern. "You handled those powers perfectly Joseph,"

"Who are you? Am I... dead?" I yelled to the voice.

"You are dead, and you are in Hell. As for whom I am? I am Satan, the King of Darkness," The voice replied. He then lifted his head then roared into the air, letting out a stream of bright fire, lighting the cavern. His head held three faces. His skin was red and covered in black soot. His body was massive bigger than the walls of Jerusalem. His back carried a pair of massive wings, pushing freezing winds towards me. His lower body was encased in a mountain of ice. He stopped spitting the steam of fire, but it hung in the air like a false sun.

"Why am I in Hell? I fought for god! "I yelled.
"It seems killing anyone is wrong," he said as he laughed.
"Why did you give me that power?"
"To help you with your vengeance, and... for... a test," he replied.
"A test? Want do you want, beast!" I yelled.
"I need you to lead my armies against the Underworld. I have some... business to take care of," he answered.
"Why would I help you?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't you. God has betrayed you," He said.

"No. I betrayed him by using those hellish powers. I care not that I am in Hell. I fought for what I believed what was right, and I would do it again," I told him.
"Such devotion. Fine, I enjoy making deals. You lead my armies and you won't be tortured for an eternity like the rest of my human visitors," He laughingly said.
"Do what you want to me. If God wants me here, I will endure any punishment," I shouted back.

"Hmm, how about... for your family?" He said flashing his pointed teeth into a wicked smile.
"Where is my family you monster?" I yelled
"Calm yourself, I do not have them; they are in the Underworld, trapped in the Nether,"
"The Nether?" I asked.

"Yes, the birthplace evil. When me, God, and that fool Barael came to this galaxy to forge life, it was filled with such bountiful darkness. I, being young and foolish, fought the aberrations forcing them back into the Nether. God ordered me to use Hell as a prison for the damned souls of the humans while Barael contained the Nether. For a while I used the souls of the damned to build army, but now the Nether Guardian is keeping the souls to raise his army. If you help me take the Underworld, I can make sure they get to heaven. I would send my Princes, but they are all busy and the one I did send was killed by the Reaper. Pathetic," He said.
"I... I will help you. But only until my family are out of this Nether, then I will serve you no longer," I said to the red behemoth.
"Of course, heh heh, take this," He slammed his hands together and in a burst of flames he conjured a sword. "This is the Blade of Amon," he threw the blade and it pierced the ground beside me. As I walked towards the blade visions of my family flashed before me, my wife Elizabeth, her vivid blue eyes, and her rosy red cheeks her, and her short tangled blond hair, my sons. Jacob he always wanted to be a solider with me. Frederick he looked like me, brown eyes, always having a solemn expression on his face, his pale white skin and his black strait hair. When I touched the blade a burning feeling raced into every corner of my body. I pulled the blade out of the frozen ground. On the face of the blade held intricate runes glowing black. The blade itself looked like it was adorned with the fires of hell. Dark orange on the point of the sword blended into a dark red then into black when it reached the guard which was adorned with gold. The hilt looked like it was red, but was encrusted with soot. As I continued to hold onto the black hilt, horrid memories of a life I did not live infested my mind, and my skin turned from white to leathery red. I turned to Satan as he smiled his fanged smile ear to ear. He raised his hand and shot a ball of fire at me. Before I could move, it hit me, but it did not burn. Instead it decorated me in blood red armour. The breastplate had a Raven's head with its mouth agape; each spaulder was shaped into man's screaming face; the leg armour ran blood red until it reached the greaves which were shaped into feral dogs at the knees. My boots were heavy, blood red and black, with bands of gold running across them. "Now go lead my armies!"

"Yes, mien Kaiser," I said sarcastically. Satan flicked his hand, opening a swirling doorway in the ground. I jumped in it and was on a battlefield.  Giant red demons were fighting black creatures emanating a purple aura. I raised my left hand and the same red and black shield appeared in my right hand. I ran towards the battlefield. I then saw a skeleton man, with glowing dark blue eyes, robed in black, holding a scythe. I yelled, "Die Reaper!"

When Life Ends, the Battle Begins

I looked to the black beast, and then to my weapon, the ebony handle, the pure silver blade. On closer inspection I saw the blade was decorated with patterns, markings that could have been an ancient language. I clenched the long smooth handle while turning around as the faceless guards opened a path leading towards the castle's courtyard.  I walked out into the courtyard; there I saw a black portal on the ground. I looked behind me and saw the Nether Guardian come out of the castle. He raised his hand summoning a myriad of black and violet-purple Nether Creatures. Some looked like feral dogs that were bigger than horses and had fangs like a snake. Some were more humanoid in their appearance some with twisted and distorted faces. Some had no faces at all, only black space. The Nether Guardian then grabbed his head then tore himself in two. The two halves formed into wholes, then one of the halves of the Beast walked toward me and said. "This is your squadron. Ask and they will do anything," He flung his hand and a blood red portal ripped open. "I must go now, the Nether needs attention," He raised both of his hands and turned into a sphere of black, dark blue and, violet-purple energy. It flew up into the air and went behind the castle. The other half walked to me and said "I will be here to aid you if need be," He took a few steps back and a purple shell covered him, it almost looked like an egg. When the shell shattered a human stood before me. He had peach like skin and was tall as two humans on each other shoulders. His left eye was blue and his right eye was brown. He was drenched in dark blue robes and his blond hair rested at his shoulders.  He looked down at his hands and clenched them twice. He then said to me "This is what I looked like before,"

"Will you be helping me fight?" I asked.

"No. Not physically anyway. I created this avatar to give you knowledge if you seek it," he replied. "Call me Barael. The first thing I have to show you is how to open portals with your scythe." He walked up to me and placed his giant hand on my skull. Hundreds of thousands of locations where flashed into my brain faster than the wings of a humming bird. A black light started to protrude from my eyes and mouth. I felt dizzy after the foreign knowledge was forced into my brain.

"So I guess I step through this portal?" I asked.

"Yes. It will take you to pathway from Underworld to Hell,"
I yelled out "Alright you abominations, let's go!" the humanoid Nether Creatures mounted the dog-like creatures and stampeded towards the portal. I levitated myself above them and flew into the portal.
When I went through the portal I saw hundreds of shadowy creatures wielding black swords with violet-purple streams of energy dancing around the blade. They were fighting blood red demons that were covered in soot brandishing blades and axes and war hammers all marked with some sort of black sigil. I looked upon the battlefield, the ground where the shadow creatures were fighting was pure black. I then looked to the ground where the demons were fighting it looked like a fire with the red and dark orange chaotically mixing, with streams of yellow racing throughout. I looked to the skies, or what I could only refer to as the sky. There was no sun, no moon, no clouds, no stars, only giant demons with the fleshy wings of bats fighting twisted visages of men with wings as black as a crow's. I knew at that moment that I have truly am dead, and this is my paradise, a place that I can use a vulgar display of my powers with little consequence. With this new weapon I can steal the damned souls of those demons and bolster my power, and then I will be strong enough to challenge Barael. I flew towards the demons fighting on the ground as fast as I could, raising my scythe over my head. I cleaved the first demon's head off. I summoned a wall of purple flame and used it to push its headless body out of the way as I landed. Then a demon that was as tall as a house swung a war hammer down at me I jolted out of the way then slammed the scythe into the demon's back and ran my blade down it. As I ripped down its back I started to absorb his power. As it entered my body although minor it felt as the marrow in my bones started to pulse and my eyes gleamed dark blue. I kicked the demon's husk off of my blade. Then I started to summon a black flame in my hand. It started out small, intensely cracking then as it got larger it started to roar, and then I shot it in a frontal cone, sweeping it back and forth destroying about seven demons reducing them to nothing. The demons twisted their animal-like faces, staring at me with their snake-like eyes. Then several charged at me, before they could reach me I jumped into the air and sent a black lightning bolt that branched into three separate bolts hitting them all and transferring their demonic life-force to me. The inside of my bone started to pulse furiously like a scared child's heart. While still in the air I made a black and dark purple shell around me and flew over a pack of demons. Then I slammed down in the middle of them and sent a giant wave of black fire intertwined with black lightning in all directions, killing about twenty demons.
"This power... is unbelievable. All my powers have been amplified. This... this is perfect!" I yelled out to myself while I stood in the middle of the small crater I made. The demonic energy was still entering my body. My eyes were glowing like a blue star in the dead of night. The pulsing in my bones ceased, though my eyes still glowed blue. I looked to the Nether Creatures and they were staring at me intently. Then one broke the trend and walked to me and said,
"General, what shall we do now?" he sounded worried for some reason. I turned to a large group of demons that were mounted on beast that looked like giant warthogs.
"Kill them of course!" I told the creatures. I jumped to the air and flew towards the flying demons. I cut several from the sky. As I was in the air I saw the reason why all these creatures looked so worried. An endless horde of demons as far as I could see, there was no horizon, only more demons, and in front of the pack of was a demon that was a shorter than me, fighting a Nether Creature that was taller than two castles stacked upon each other, and seemed to be winning. I flew back down and asked one of the creatures,
"Who is the short demon?"
"That is Amon, he is the leader of this assault, and part of the Seven," One of the creatures responded.
"The Seven?" I asked.
"Yes there are Amon, Belphegor, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Mammon, and the leader, Lucifer," The creature replied.
"I must kill all of these demons to win this war then?" I asked. The creature didn't answer; he had a look in his eyes that told me I wasn't suppose to win this war, that this war couldn't be won, that it was supposed to last forever. "Well I'll be damned if I fight this war forever! Follow me you blight upon my eyes we are going to kill Amon then the rest of the Seven!" I raised my scythe and pointed it the towering Nether Creature being sliced in two by Amon. "Or do you want to end up like that," I flew towards Amon with about fifteen crow winged Nether Creatures. I looked down at the ground as the mounted demons and the mounted Nether Creatures were fighting. I landed on a tall outcropping of twisted blood red and orange ground. "Amon! Come and fight me!" I yelled out to the infinite legion of demons. Then, the demon walked out of the shadowy corpse of the Nether Creature. He had the body of a man. Wearing blood red armour, the leg armour had the visage of a dog at the knee, the chest piece was shaped into the head of a raven, and the spaulders were shaped into human's heads screaming in agony. The demon had the head of a raven. It held black feathers and a bright yellow beak, the demon opened his mouth and it revealed sharp teeth.
"You want to fight me... whatever you are?" Amon said confidently.
"I am the Grim Reaper, and more importantly your master's undoing," I replied while pointing my scythe at him.
"Wait you're a mortal aren't you? Well, used to be anyway ha ha," Amon said while putting his hand on his forehead. "Barael must be getting desperate," Amon then waved his hand and a black, orange, and red sword came from nowhere. It was adorned with thousands of tiny runes. His black blade ignited in a blood red flame and started to run towards me as he yelled. "IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT, LET'S NOT WASTE ANY TIME!" He swung his sword at me so I conjured a black shield stopping his attack. Then I pushed him back with the shield then swung my scythe at him. He did a split dodging my blade then he let out a breath of flames. I jumped over the flames and started to levitate. Amon jumped in the air and was going faster than an arrow. I flew out of the way then threw a fireball at him. He somehow stopped mid-jump and swatted the fireball like a bug. Then ravens wings ripped from his back and he then started to fly towards me. He cleaved his blade and it cut my robes, but missed me. "You're fast Reaper. But I'm faster," He flew around me so fast all I could see was a black and red blur. He let out another breath of fire and it hit me in the back. I started to plummet towards the ground. I stopped in midair then I turned and swung my scythe, but Amon had already moved from behind me. Amon appeared in front me so I made a shell of violet fire around me and released it. Amon was able to block it, so I quickly charged up a black and amethyst fireball and launched it at him. It flew through the air quickly, but Amon was able to catch it with one hand. "Impressive," He said as he hung his sword over his shoulder. I clenched my hand and made the fireball explode. I shielded myself from the shockwave of the explosion which made my black robes flap and twist. I saw his figure charge at me from through the smoke of the explosion. He seemed unscathed. I charged black lighting and as it charged in the point of the scythe's blade I arched my scythe over my back. When Amon got close enough I slammed the scythe down at him. He blocked the initial attack. Then I unleashed the black lightning and it pierced Amon's armour and surrounded his body. As his lifeless body plummeted towards the ground his sword disappeared in a wisp of fire. My insides started to pulse and the intensity of the blue glow in my eyes increased. I formed a huge black and red fireball cracking with black lightning and threw it at the demons I must have killed about several thousand.
I flew back to the Nether Creatures and yelled, "Amon is dead! Now is the time to strike!" The Nether Creatures were able to push back the demons with sheer numbers. I fought alongside the Nether Warriors for years. We had almost pushed them back to the Gateway from Hell. Then I heard something yell in the distance.

Death Dancing with the Knight

"Die Reaper!" I yelled. He swung his scythe at me, so I raised my shield and blocked it. Then I swung my sword at his waist, but he jumped and sent a wave of purple fire at me. I put up my shield again and the fire wave pushed me backwards. I quickly recovered then jumped at him slashing my sword diagonally. He levitated backwards then threw a ball of fire at me. When it hit me it knocked me back slamming me into the ground. I looked to the sky and was the Reaper flying towards me covered in black lightning. I stabbed my sword into the ground and then put a shield up that covered me completely. When he hit the shield the ground I was standing on shattered, but the shield held firm. He jumped from the shield and when he landed, started to charge black lightning in his hands. As I got up I pulled my sword from the ground then charged at him. He raised his hand and black lightning arched from his fingertips; I stopped in my tracks and held my sword in front of me, funnelling the black lightning into it. With the blade covered in the black lightning I started to charge at the Reaper again and jumped and stabbed at him He stopped the blade with one hand absorbing the lightning. I let go of the sword as he pulled it toward himself. I was able to summon fire in my hands so I flung my hands outward causing the fire to jump from my hands towards the Reaper sending him soaring backwards. I held out my hand and my sword reappeared in my hand. I conjured my shield in my left hand and then charged at the Reaper. Then a purple shell covered the Reaper then he unleashed it killing everything in his path. I put my shield in front of me and the dark purple and blood red flames showered over it. Even though I blocked the attack I was starting to get winded. "These powers must be tiring me out," I said to myself as I was panting.
"You fight with no honour, killing you own allies to attack me," I yelled to the Reaper.
"These things are just a means to an end, and that end is you," The Grim Reaper said in an accent I never had heard before. "You must be... Amon's replacement perhaps?" He added as he looked at my sword.
"I'm not here to replace any of the Princes of Hell,"
"Good," He said as he summoned a fireball in his white hand. He threw the fireball at me then charged at me with inhuman speeds. I conjured my shield and blocked the fireball and the swung at the Reaper only for our blades to meet. I sidestepped and swung my sword at his head quickly, almost hitting him. He jumped in the air disappearing in a black blur. I looked to the black sky with demons and shadowy apparitions battling, ripping each other apart for their Lords. Then I looked to the ground hearing the clamouring of the foot-soldiers, their weapons clanging on the twisted metal shields, the bitter shrieks of death.
"Good to hear familiar sounds in death," I said to myself. I turned when I heard a fireball tearing through the air. I jumped back and it missed me, then the Reaper appeared in front of me. I opened my mouth and a breath of fire spewed forth. I hit the Reaper directly and was knocked back.
He lifted his head then said "Just full of tricks aren't we."
"I suppose so," I replied. I ran at him and my blade ignited in a blood red flame. I swung it at the Reaper as he summoned a dark blue shield covering his entire being. When my sword struck the shield cracked like an egg. The Reaper tried to get out of the way, but I was able to sever the arm holding the scythe.
"Argggh!" he yelled out. I charged at him once more, but he surrounded himself in a shell black lightning. I ran away as he released it. One of the demons grabbed me and shielded me with its body. I was able to put a shield around myself before the lightning washed over us. I pushed the demon's dead body off of me only to see the Reaper standing in a crater with plumes of smoke rising from it. He held out his left arm and brought his scythe it. He cut open a portal above his head and jumped through it. I looked behind me and saw more demons funnelling out of the gateway from Hell.
"Demons! Hell's Knight calls upon you!" I yelled as I started the charge. Then I yelled, "Attack!"  Hundreds of thousands of the demonic minions roared with bestial vigour while they charged at the shadow creatures. Several of the warped beasts came at me, so I cleaved three of them in half, and then I used my fire breath on the three remaining reducing them to black cinder. I ran to another group of the violet apparitions and stabbed one through the chest then sliced another's chest, and a purple gas spewed out of the wound. Three others attacked me at once. I jumped backwards avoiding their attacks. One of the three jumped out from the group and a spear formed in his hands, I was still trying to regain my composure and he was able to scathe my arm. I sidestepped and cut his head off. I gathered flames in the back of my throat, it crackled and sizzled and warmed my throat, as the fire pushed out of my mouth like a dragon. I let out a powerful roar, destroying everything in its path, killing about twenty shadow creatures. I turned and shouted. "Victory, in the name of Lucifer!" with small spouts of flame coming from my mouth each word I spoke. As I began to charge at the next group of apparitions I stopped myself realizing what I said. "I must be getting corrupted by these powers, but I can't stop, my soul is already damned, I must save my family," I shook the doubts from my head, and then jumped in the air then when I hit the ground I slammed my sword in the ground as I landed then I started sending pulses of demonic energy into it which made blood red shock waves that tore through the shadow warriors. I walked out of the crater only to see endless waves of the shadow warriors. "I'll be at this for a while," I said to myself.
Several hours passed as I hacked through hundreds of shadow creatures then they all started to suddenly retreated. They all flew into the sky and combined together in a giant dark purple and blue sun-like object. Then it flew backwards and then it crashed into the horizon. I led the demons' charge towards the gateway, and then a materialized like a mirage. Giant black walls with twisted black ramparts, and violet gate houses loomed overhead. Then a pure black dome appeared over the fortress. I summoned a horse with leathery black skin blood red fire as a mane and piercing red eyes. I mounted it and charged at the dome. I ignited my sword with blood red flame and swung at the dome. When I hit it my sword bounced off of it and out of my hand, landing behind me.
I raced back to the portal back to Lucifer's cavern. "Back so early," Lucifer said dryly leaning against the cave wall propping his head up with his hand.
"The Reaper and his warriors retreated and heavily fortified themselves. It's blocking all entry ways to the Gateway to the Underworld," I answered.
"Well I guess time to wake Leviathan so we can start our final assault on the Underworld,"
"Leviathan? Not holding anything back I see," I said
"If I have learned anything from my endless war against Heaven is to hold nothing back. Speaking of which I have to see if the Princes I sent up there are still alive," He flicked his hand and a portal appeared in front of him. "Mammon! Belphegor! Answer me!" a screeching voice answered,
"Yes my lord,"
"Ah Belphegor, what of Mammon?
"He is still alive master," Belphegor responded.
"Good. Has Archangel Michael been able to push you back?"
"No sire. We have been keeping our ground like you asked,"
"Good," Lucifer said. He snapped his fingers and the portal closed.
"What should I do now?" I asked.
"Well, since you are so eager. Order in Hell has become a bit wayward. Duke Eligos has started a revolution of sorts in the Fifth Circle. Bring me his head and you'll get your next set of orders. Hurry. My Princes have to help with the war and can't be held up fighting traitors,"

Give Death a Hand, or Maybe an Arm

"Dahhhhhhhhhh!" I yelled as I fell to my arm and knees after coming through the portal. I rolled on my back throwing the scythe a short ways away from me. I saw that I was in the castles' courtyard.
"Someone get Barael!" I heard something shout out. Then in a wisp of black smoke he appeared in front of me.
"What happened to you?" Barael's avatar said.
"What do you think; I got my arm sliced off," I replied bitterly.
"How?" he asked
"It was one of the demons. He carried Amon's blade and even had some of his abilities,"
"What did he look like?" he asked
"He looked human," I told him
"I must talk to Barael," He said
Baraels's avatar disappeared in a black screen of smoke. I levitated my body and put myself on my feet. I picked up my scythe and used it to prop myself up. "I can't believe that hurt so much," I said aloud.
"Even the dead feel pain General," One of the Nether Creatures said. I looked at it and said,
"If I had both of my arms I would kill you," I then looked at the ground and then closed my eyes. When I closed my eyes I heard someone yelling,
"Burn it down! Kill the witches!"
I opened my eyes quickly and then grunted, I noticed my eyes weren't glowing blue anymore. Then Barael appeared in front of me and said "It looks like Lucifer bolstered his forces with a mortal as well,"
"Who is he?" I questioned
"His name is Joseph Vogt; he was a Gothic Knight in the Holy Roman Empire and a Crusader," he replied "Lucifer must have imbued him with Amon's powers... and more" he said "It will take months to mend your arm," he added.
"I can't sit around that long my progress will be undone," I exclaimed.
"My progress is already undone. I pulled back all the Nether Creatures to the portal and set up a fortress,"
"You old fool! It took a year to get where I was,"
"If you think you can take on Vogt with one arm, then you're the fool," Barael said. I let out a grunt knowing that he was right. I underestimated Vogt and now I'm paying for it.
"What should we do now?" I asked
"Lucifer is no doubt going to use this time to try and get his Princes ready for an attack. So I have sent message to the Horsemen. They are going to be here as soon as possible,"
"Whoever they are, allies would help. I'm going to recover. No disruptions," I said to Barael's avatar.
I raised my scythe into the air and cut a portal open in front of me. I walked through it and was whisked to cave made of jet-black stone crackling with small arcs of purple lightning. I walked into the cave and sat down. I put the scythe across my legs and encased myself with a dark purple shell. Energy coursed through my being. Then memories of my past life began flashing into my skull.
