LESSON # l - WRITING ASSIGNMENT



My name is Deanna,(1) but I generally go by Itchywater online. People often send me comments and questions regarding my pen name, (4a) it is not an Indian name as some think,(4a) it is merely a creative word I came up with (4b) as I was pondering the oil spill (4b) in the gulf of Mexico. It seems the more I write,(?) the more creative I become. Actually,(?) I have just started my journey in writing. When I was younger,(2)(4a) from my college years all the way back to the fundamental elementary years,(4a) I can remember dreading and struggling through my english and literature classes. I was a horrible english (3b) student,(4a) I never could grasp the basics,(4a)(1) but somehow I passed the classes.
But now (4c)that I am older(4c) I find writing to be a great stress reliever. When I write, (2) I can go anywhere, (3a)be anybody,(3a) do anything,(3a) act anyway. When I write,(2) I can take a vacation from my problems,(1) or I can let my hidden emotions gush out of me,(4a) word by word,(4a) without the fear of ever being mocked or criticized by anyone. When I write, (2) I am who I want to be.
